'Simply put, he should be fired for his call to punt with just over 4 minutes left in overtime. The scenario was this: The Bills faced a fourth-and-2 from their 40-yard line. A tie would eliminate them from playoff contention. Knowing that, Ryan simply can not punt the ball there.'
Mark Gaughan's Hot Read: Rex Ryan's defense underachieves (again)
'Moore was thoroughly unimpressive. But the Bills’ defense kept taking him off the hook. Terrible tackling basically gave Miami three scores. You’d think by Week 16 of the season the defenders would make basic form tackles. But no. The Bills continually threw shoulders into Miami ball-carriers, which allowed them to bounce away for big gains.'
Fourth quarter analysis: Bills drive for go-ahead TD, but Franks forces overtime
'The Dolphins had no timeouts remaining but were able to get close enough for a long field goal attempt. The Bills tried to call timeout when it appeared they were short a player, but the play went off and Franks squeaked the ball through to force overtime.'
Third quarter analysis: Bills offense scores twice, but defense can't get a stop
'On the Dolphins’ first drive after halftime, cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman whiffed on a tackle that allowed DeVante Parker to run free for a 56-yard touchdown.'
Second quarter analysis: Dolphins commitment to throwing keeps Bills in game
'It felt oddly reminiscent of the first half of the Steelers game when quarterback Ben Roethlisberger singlehandedly kept the Bills in the game before turning to the rushing attack in the second half.'
First quarter analysis: Bills get into holiday spirit, gift Ajayi TD
'The Bills took a delay of game penalty in the quarter, lost a challenge, blew a timeout and a missed field goal. They were a Jerry Hughes personal foul away from bingo.'
Cordy Glenn headlines Bills' list of inactives against Dolphins
'Also inactive for the Bills are: linebacker Lerentee McCray (concussion), wide receiver Dez Lewis, tight end Gerald Christian, defensive tackle Jerel Worthy, quarterback Cardale Jones and tight end Logan Thomas.'
Tough to defend Rex Ryan after loss to Miami
'By punting, Ryan basically sealed his team’s fate because had the game ended in a tie, the Bills were still eliminated, and the chances of Buffalo getting the ball back after the punt were not great. Obviously, they never did as Ajayi wound up soaring past 200 yards rushing for the second time against the Bills this season.'

Clutch-time actions don't shed positive light on Ryan
'Ryan’s personal playoff drought is now at six years, a fact that’s not going to help his cause when ownership and management convene in the coming weeks to decide his future.'
Dolphins 34, Bills 31: Quarter by quarter recap
'The defense allowed Miami to tie the game on a 55-yard field goal with six seconds to go, and then gave up a 57-yard run to Ajayi that set up the game-winning field goal in overtime.'
Report card
'I’ve been telling you for weeks the Bills were done, regardless of the computer simulators proclaiming they had life. They officially expired on Christmas Eve when Rex Ryan’s guys failed yet again to beat a quality opponent – and I have trouble even considering the Dolphins a true quality opponent despite their 10-5 record. Seventeen years, and with another coach/QB reset coming, there seems to be no end in sight to the perpetual misery this franchise inflicts on its fans.'
'Twas the night before Christmas: Buffalo Bills edition
'Playoff hopes ended prior to the new calendar year, Before St. Nicholas arrives with his reindeer.'
Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor wrecked his car before career day
'Taylor was in downtown Buffalo when he got into an accident that was not his fault around 10 a.m. He was unable to drive his 2013 black Mercedes G63 SVU to the game and needed to be picked up. The fact that he threw for a career-high 329 yards hours later didn't help brighten his mood, especially with the Bills losing 34-31 to the Dolphins and getting eliminated from playoff contention in the process.'
Buffalo Bills' Richie Incognito responds to Dolphins who taunted him
'"It didn't get heated with Richie. For us, we won the game. That's the goal. That's what we do."'
