Two Bills Drive

'“I hate almost to say this because it’s unfair to Sean, but in many ways he’s Marv-like,” said Polian in an appearance on the John Murphy Show. “It’s a very high bar and I don’t want to put it there, but the qualities are similar. He’s cerebral. He’s low key. He’s on the money.'

'On Wednesday, coach Sean McDermott said the Bills had yet to determine what to do about Taylor. He also said it was possible they could go all the way up to the March 11 deadline to make the call.'

' Felton shouldn't cost much, so the Bills should re-sign him and pick up an undrafted free agent to compete with him at training camp. If Felton beats him out, the Bills will have a solid lead blocker – and one of McCoy's close friends – on the roster. Last year, the Broncos used a fullback on more than 20 percent of offensive snaps, so there is a role for the position in the offense.'

'"The Buffalo Bills are meeting with representatives from running back Mike Gillislee and both sides hope to hammer out a long term extension," said Pauline. "I'm told the ball carrier, who finished with 577 yards and 8 touchdowns last season, is hopeful he can play in Buffalo the rest of his career."'

'"By no means is Dareus a poor player. In fact, he is a very good defender against both the run and pass. But this is an immensely talented player selected very early in an exceptional draft year and the Bills need more from him. They need Dareus to be dominant.'

'Additionally, reports do not indicate if the Bills would take on Siemian and Taylor, or if Siemian would be potential replacement.'

'It looks like the Bills will actually, truly, go to the deadline with Taylor. I suppose it’s an OK decision with free agency prior to the deadline. Options other than Siemian, who the Bills would need to trade for, include Mike Glennon, Matt Barkley, Landry Jones, and maybe Nick Foles. Nothing to write home about. Don’t get too excited about quarterbacking in 2017.'

'If they bring back Taylor, which essentially means he's going to be their quarterback for at least the next two years at a cost of about $40.5 million, then the focus of their free agency shopping, and perhaps even the draft, shifts dramatically.'
