Two Bills Drive

'Brian Gaine reportedly interviewed with the Bills for the GM job over the past weeks. Prior to that he has interviewed with the Eagles, Bears, and Jets for GM openings in the past. Gaine has 18 years of personnel experience in the NFL.'

'Obviously I’ve seen Tyrod on film. If we walked out there today I would say Tyrod’s probably the starter. But we haven’t even gone through OTAs. You know we got the young guy (Nathan) Peterman, I thought he did some nice things this weekend at the minicamp. Cardale Jones has huge arm and talent. I don't know anything about him personally. TJ Yates has done some starting in his career, so there are some guys on the roster. I am for open competition.'

'The Bills will hold their ten sessions over the next four weeks before wrapping up with a three-day mandatory minicamp June 13-15. OTAs are voluntary. Players cannot be fined or suspended by the team or league for failing to show up.'

'"I'm open for competition. Sean is. Earn the right for whatever job you have, for whatever position you're trying to get. I'm not in the business of handing out positions on May the 15th," the GM said.'

'Harrell (6-2, 229) and Logan (6-2, 235) are both linebackers, a position where roles will be up for grabs on Buffalo’s roster. Both players saw a good deal of their reps during rookie minicamp at the weak side linebacker position.'

'“It’s going well. I’m just finding ways to improve my game constantly. I’m just looking forward to learn a lot from coach,” he said. “When it comes to blocking, its just all about are you willing to do it. I know that I am.'

'“He texted me as soon as I got drafted. He told me he couldn’t wait to work with me. I met him (Friday) in person in the locker room,” said Jones. “He seems like an unbelievable guy. Family oriented, just loves his teammates. He embraced me. That tells you what type of man he is. He didn’t have to do that. So glad to play for someone like that and I can’t wait to develop with him.”'

'The Bills' interest in Schoen makes sense given that he got his NFL start in Carolina with Beane. He served as an intern in the Panthers' ticket office in 2000 before becoming a scouting assistant one year later. He would later scout the Southeast and Southwest for the Panthers before heading to Miami.'

'“I’m just coming here and trying to improve and earn my spot on the final 53-man roster,” he said. “Just get better day by day, whether it's as a backup running back or it's on special teams, because that's how you make your way in the league is on special teams.”'

'The Buffalo Bills' running back posted a video Sunday on his Instagram page of a special delivery he and his brother, LeRon, made to their mom, Daphne, for Mother's Day – a brand new, silver Jaguar complete with a big, red bow.'

'“It’s always good motivation,” Peterman said. “You can’t try to say it’s not because it definitely is when you have guys pass up on you that much. I’m extremely thankful to the Bills for giving me the opportunity.”'
