'Kouandjio had been sidelined during organized team activities this month because of January hip surgery resulting from a fall at home. Kouandjio was also hospitalized in April after police found him not wearing pants in a field near a Buffalo-area highway.'

'"I was an integral part in the drafting process of EJ Manuel," Whaley said at the time. "I was the person that handled the draft process and setting up the board."'

'The offensive tackle’s release comes just over a month after he was involved in a bizarre police incident. Back in mid-April Kouandjio was found not fully clothed and in a field after climbing over an electric fence near the scene of an accident on Route 400 in Elma. That incident occurred just a few months after Kouandjio required hip surgery after falling inside his home in January.'

'Peterman, 22, spent the past two seasons with the Panthers after transferring from the University of Tennessee. In his two years with Pittsburgh, Peterman threw for 5,236 yards while completing 60.1-percent of his passes along with 47 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. Peterman also rushed for 525 yards in his two seasons and scored five touchdowns.'

'The 2017 Bills are predicted to win six games or so, according to betting lines. The Bills at times — and the Sabres this year — have expressed surprise at their results, but objectively their results have been anything but surprising. The Bills have been within a game of their predicted record for years running.'

'While he showed he could play a bit at left tackle when Cordy Glenn was injured for a time last season, it was not enough to overcome some of the factors working against him.'

'Saxton, 23, is another former undrafted product out of South Alabama. He was signed by the New York Jets after the 2015 NFL draft. He spent a year on the Jets practice squad, and was re-signed for the 2016 season, but did not make the final roster.'

'“Any QB, any player on this team that should be their mentality,” Peterman said. “They should go compete. I’m trying to help this team as much as I can, so whatever way I can do that I want to go be the best I can be and pick things up as quickly as I can and play the best that I can."'

'“It was a rough three years in Cleveland,” said Poyer in an appearance on the John Murphy Show. “We didn’t win a lot of football games, but met a lot of good friends who I’ll have for the rest of my life. It’s hard. You play this game to win. That’s why you love the game. 'He conveniently forgot that Darby was drafted to fit Rex Ryan's scheme that asks corners to primarily play man-to-man coverage and that Darby is going to find himself in a different role in the zone-oriented defense of new coach Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier – a role that just might not suit him as well.'
