‘“He was selling this place hard when I was telling him the Bills called me,” Gaines said the other day following his first practice on One Bills Drive. “It was like back in March and he’s like, ‘Dude, come on, let’s go.’ He’s talking about how great this place is, so he definitely helped sell it a little bit. He just said he loved it up here. The staff is amazing, the facilities are awesome, guys are great. And that’s something that I look for, too.”’

Our final Bills 53-man roster prediction ahead of Sunday’s deadline
‘Rookie Jude Bowry’s injury is a bit of a blessing in disguise because he’s not ready to play and now the Bills can stash him on injured reserve for the season. That said, Grable as the swing tackle has an awful lot to prove if he were ever called on to play. Carrying just three tackles is risky, and I think the Bills might consider signing someone after roster cuts have been made.’
4 Buffalo Bills who played their way on or off the 53-man roster vs. Steelers
‘Walker’s size and physicality cannot be taught. After outplaying draft pick Toriano Pride Jr. throughout the summer, Walker deserves a spot on the 53-man roster.’
Bills rookie Kani Walker nervous but unafraid as he awaits fate with roster cutdowns looming
‘If Walker does make the team, he would be the fourth undrafted free agent to make the Bills’ Week 1 roster as a rookie in the last decade, joining Joe Andreessen (2024), Reggie Gilliam (2020) and Robert Foster (2018).’
Predicting the final 53: Special teams at the crux of difficult decisions for Bills roster cuts
‘It was a disappointing camp for Carter, who the Bills love in the locker room. The former third-round pick struggled coming off a torn Achilles. It’s possible they could find a trade partner for him, but there doesn’t appear to be room for him on the roster.’
Von Miller sells Orchard Park house
‘Miller sold his five-bedroom, 5,000-square-foot house for $1.1 million – almost exactly the $1.15 million he paid in 2002, shortly after signing with the Bills.’
‘I wish there was a little bit more’: Steelers fans weigh in on new Highmark Stadium
‘“I wish there was a little bit more on the outskirts,” Steelers fan Skylor Divlas said.’
Final Bills 53-man roster projection
‘The writing was on the wall for Carter Thursday night as he was on the field in the 4th quarter of the final preseason game. Gaines was playing ahead of him after only being with the team a week. It’s a tough ending for the Bills 2024 3rd round pick, not making the team a year after missing the entire season due to an Achilles tear. Maybe Beane can find a trade to recoup some late Day 3 value, but it’s a miss of a pick and maybe our first real example of moving on from a player better suited for Sean McDermott’s defense. Mathis was doing some nice things before news of his 3-game suspension dropped. Gaines likely not brought onboard if Mathis was available to start the regular season.’
