‘“Actually, the intent of the practice (Monday) is we’re going to be in pads to start, and then when we get to the team periods, we’re going to take the pads off,” Brady said. “And it’s part of the ramp-up period. And part of it is I’ve always been bothered by coming out first day of pads, and everyone’s just adjusting and kind of thinking about all the pads as opposed to the detail, the physicality, and mindset of how we want practice. And so today’s more of the intentionality of we’re coming off an off day, let’s wake up with the mentality that we got to put our pads on, let’s get used to it, let’s go out, let’s go through (individuals), let’s do a 7-on-7 period, and then we’ll take the pads off and go through team. And then (Tuesday) it’ll kind of roll. And so, uh, that’s more the intentionality of today. When we get to tomorrow, I mean, yeah, that’s why you play football. Answering questions all along, it was like, hey, we gotta wait till pads come on. Well, when the pads come on, it’s about less talking with your words and hopefully with your heads.”’
