‘But the Bills Wall of Fame has long considered factors outside the chalked lines of a football field. Bob Kalsu was put on the Wall in 2000, on what would have been his 55th birthday. He played one season for the Bills, in 1968, then began a tour of duty for the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was killed by mortar fire in 1970. Kalsu’s pro career does not merit his inclusion on the Wall of Fame, of course, but his heroism off the field very much does. The Bills do right by honoring him, always.’
