‘Defensive tackle was not a position of need for the Bills. They have Ed Oliver, Deone Walker, T.J. Sanders and DeWayne Carter, among others, but Durant is an incredibly strong defensive tackle who torments interior offensive linemen with how quickly he can get to the backfield. His production at Penn State was not exceptional. Durant totaled 22 tackles for a loss, including 10 sacks, in 54 games across four seasons with the Nittany Lions. He also slipped in the draft because he’s 6-foot-1 and 290 pounds. But the Bills believe in Durant as a person and leader. At each stop in his football journey, Durant has wowed teammates and coaches. It was an easy decision for the Bills to bet on Durant’s talent and character.’
