Bills envision ‘wide-open competition’ to replace David Edwards at left guard

‘“We could have other guys, as well,” president of football operations and general manager Brandon Beane said at the NFL’s annual meeting at the Arizona Biltmore. “But (Corbett) is a proven starter. I think we were able to get him, he’s had a couple durability things, but well regarded, brings leadership, intelligence to the room, and he’ll be in the mix.”’

Lance Lysowski: The Bills are open to drafting a receiver in Round 1. Should they?

‘”Yes, if there is a dynamic player that can help us, start or not, at receiver, we would take him at (No.) 26,” Beane said Monday at Arizona Biltmore, the luxury resort where league executives and coaches are gathered this week.’

Josh Allen expected to be a full participant in Bills’ offseason program

‘”I don’t want to say it’s 100%, but he’s good,” Beane said. “We expect him to be, when he gets back in April, full go.”‘

Bills may add an offensive tackle with Ryan Van Demark gone

‘”Who knows what happens in the draft, but we’ll try to add depth,” said Beane. “There are some vets that we’ve talked to as well. You’re proud of Vandy. You don’t want to lose him. But it was already a hard number for us. We were stretching to kind of make it work. Adding that the way it was structured was going to be a little tough for us.”‘

Bills, Browns agree to hold joint practice ahead of August preseason game

‘Bills General Manager and President of Football Operations Brandon Beane told reporters Monday at the NFL League Meetings in Phoenix that his team and the Cleveland Browns have tentatively agreed to hold a one-day joint practice ahead of a preseason game this August.’

Brandon Beane: Dorian Strong’s playing future still undetermined

‘”It’s just in the healing phase right now,” Bills president of football operations and general manager Brandon Beane said Monday at the NFL’s annual meeting, which is being held at the Arizona Biltmore. “There’s not a lot of rehab to it. It’s just kind of see how it does. It’s a specialized surgery, and beyond that, not a lot of details. It’s still an unknown where that is and whether he’d be able to return.”‘

Beane confirms Bills will pick up Dalton Kincaid’s fifth-year option

‘Of course they are, and Beane confirmed that with reporters Monday at the NFL owners’ meetings in Phoenix. Kincaid will be locked up for a fifth season, meaning he is tied to the Bills through at least 2027. He is set to count $4.2 million on the salary cap in 2026, and the cost for that fifth year is a very manageable $8.1 million.’

The Bills just made a huge decision about Dalton Kincaid’s future despite his injury-plagued season

‘When Kincaid was on the field, he was one of the most productive tight ends in the NFL. He averaged a league-best 14.9 yards per target, and Allen had a 149.2 passer rating when targeting the former first-round pick.’

Bills GM says he would still draft receiver in first round even after D.J. Moore trade

‘“You’re always looking for weapons, tight end, receiver, running back, how many different pieces can we give Joe Brady, Pete Carmichael, and Josh,” Beane said. “Obviously, you’re trying to score points. He’s a player we tracked all the way back to the year Josh was drafted. Obviously had a good career in Carolina, gets traded some years back to Chicago. The opportunity from where they were with their cap and who they’ve added, some younger pieces, they were willing to make the move. He adds another dimension, another guy who is a run-after-the-catch, big-play potential guy.”’

Bills pick up fifth-year option on TE Dalton Kincaid’s rookie contract

‘During the NFL annual meetings Monday, Bills general manager Brandon Beane announced the team had exercised its fifth-year option on the 2023 first-round pick. All draft picks sign four-year contracts, but first-round picks come with a team option to retain a player for a fifth year at a set rate. Kincaid is set to make $8.1 million in 2027 if an extension hasn’t been agreed upon.’

Bills free agent Brandin Cooks gets contract news on return to Buffalo

‘Cooks is at the point in his career where he can wait things out and seek out what ends up being the best opportunity as the season gets closer. By the same token, if he and the Bills liked one another enough, there’s no reason for the 32-year old to wait too long, if Buffalo is offering a contract that he feels is fair.’

Brandon Beane says Josh Allen “full-go” for off-season work

‘”I don’t want to say it’s 100-percent, but he’s good,” Beane said. “When he gets back in April, we expect him to be full-go.”‘

Kincaid’s Fifth-Year Option Exercised By Bills

‘Kincaid, drafted 25th overall in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Utah, will be going into his fourth season with the club, and was entering the final year of his rookie deal. Picking up the fifth-year option means Kincaid is now under contract for two more seasons, through 2027.’

Bills’ Beane gives update on Allen, comments on offseason moves at NFL owners meetings

‘QB Josh Allen is expected to be “full go” for offseason workouts in April as he rehabs from offseason foot surgery. Allen was seen in crutches at Joe Brady’s introductory press conference as the new head coach back in February, and while Beane says Allen is not at 100% right now, he’s “on track and should be ready to roll once we’re doing football stuff” in April.’

Five things we learned from Bills GM Brandon Beane at NFL Meetings

‘Beane shared that Allen is still recovering from an offseason foot procedure and is on track to participate in voluntary workouts in April. So far during the offseason, the Bills medical team has checked up on the quarterback periodically. Allen has also talked directly to the surgeon to share his progress.’
