‘The Bills desperately need to fi x their pass rush and, luckily for Beane, the 2026 draft class is flush with talented prospects who fi t the 3-4 defensive scheme that Jim Leonhard is going to install this off season. They shouldn’t wait around to select one, though. The perfect fi t should be available when Buffalo is on the clock with the 26th pick of the first round.’

Sean Payton breaks down what the Bills are getting in coordinators Pete Carmichael, Jim Leonhard
‘“Start with Jim Leonhard, I think man – first off, he played 10 or 11 years (in the NFL),” Payton said Tuesday inside the Indianapolis Convention Center as the NFL scouting combine got underway. “I can recall competing against him when he was with the Jets, a number of teams. Real sharp. I think a good leader. He has a personality about him that I think is really good.”’
Daniel Jeremiah doesn’t see the Bills’ defensive transition being a big problem
‘”Every time there’s a coaching change, you have your scouts together from meetings, they’ll bring in the coaches and say, ‘OK, for our edge rushers, we we kind of want a little more size with what we do, whereas the other (coach), we can play with a smaller linebacker, we need to really be able to run.’ So then you just kind of change your stack on the board, but it’s not like you wasted your time going there and evaluating the guy in the fall. It’s just, ‘OK, now this guy maybe gets a little bit of a boost with the changes we’ve made.'”‘
Report: Bears open to trading former Bills linebacker Tremaine Edmunds
‘Edmunds, who turns 28 in May, is a former first-round pick of the Bills from the 2018 draft. Edmunds played four seasons with the Bills, before he hit free agency, and then signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Bears. He is due a $1 million roster bonus two days after the league new year on March 11. Edmunds would count $17.4 million against the cap for the Bears, and he’d be $2.4 million in dead cut if the team were to cut him.’
My View: Some kind of hex must be keeping the Bills from going all the way
‘There is a long-held theory that the entire city in under the so-called McKinley Curse. After the president’s assassination in 1901, the city has been under a “dark cloud” that has prevented it from winning any sports championship. Hockey, basketball, football, baseball, tiddlywinks – no championships for Buffalo. How do we break the curse? Maybe it’s simply a matter of changing head coaches, drafting better, getting quality free agents, and avoiding costly injuries.’
Why the Bills believe John Fox is the perfect veteran voice
‘“Well, I didn’t want somebody that was strictly just in an office waiting for, ‘Hey, when do you need some help?’ I wanted a guy that wanted to still coach football, right? And so, coach Fox, he’s sitting in the defensive meetings, he’s giving ideas, he’s going through it all. And then, hey, when things go, I know he’s the guy that’s not going to just be a yes man. He’s been through it all and someone that I can lean on in those moments.”’
Bills coaches praised by Sean Payton at NFL combine
‘“Start with Jim Leonhard, I think man, first off, he’s played 10 or 11 years (in the NFL),” Payton said. “I can recall competing against him when he was with the Jets, a number of teams (including the Bills). Real sharp. I think a good leader, he has a personality about him that I think is really good.”’
Bills GM wants to keep Dawson Knox but he may need to take pay cut or face being released
‘“He has a tough number as we go into the season,” Beane said. “And so we got to figure that out as we do. We got multiple decisions. Dawson and I had dialog the day after the season. He came up to my office (and) we talked for a while. … I think it just starts with trust, communication, honest conversation.”‘
Buffalo Bills’ Brandon Beane & Joe Brady respond to Tyreek Hill free agency questions
‘“We’re always doing due diligence,” Beane told Florio. “We are… That guy is a heck of a player. What he’s done and, you know, I know he had a tough injury… Beyond that, there’s really not a lot more to it.”’
Joe Brady’s evolving relationship with Josh Allen critical in early stages as Bills coach
‘“He can take it,” Brady said. “We have that relationship that when something’s not how it needs to be, I can go to him — he does not handle any of that in a negative way. … He understands it before it even needs to be said. … When he’s running, when the ball’s not where it needs to be and we don’t fumble, we still got to correct him and hold him accountable to it, not only when he fumbles.’
The Bills are scouring several avenues to find a linebacker to pair with Terrel Bernard
‘While the Bills haven’t formally closed the door on re-signing Matt Milano, he’s about to hit free agency and there is a reason the Bills restructured his contract last year so that it expired a year early. Milano was adequate last year with flashes of his All-Pro form, but he hasn’t been able to avoid injuries over the last three seasons.’
Five takeaways from Brandon Beane, Joe Brady at NFL Combine
‘Beane acknowledged that Knox’s $17 million salary cap hit is a tough number to have him for 2026, but that they’d love to do something to keep him in a Bills uniform. The general manager said they still have a few weeks to figure something out, but need to do that.’
Dream job comes true for new Bills’ game day workers
‘Some came “dressed for success” in khakis and blazers. Others came donning Bills’ attire.’
Buffalo Bills hold job fair to fill part-time positions for 2026 season at the new Highmark Stadium
‘Zach Rutkowski, the Senior Director of Guest Experience for the Bills, said his team was looking to hire around 125 part-time positions for the upcoming season at the new Highmark Stadium.’
Bills offseason outlook: Contracts, salary cap, roster heading into 2026 season
‘The Bills’ floor remains as high as any team in the league. Having an MVP level quarterback will do that. The ceiling, however, is still an issue. Buffalo has had trouble over the years beating the league’s top teams, much less seven straight seasons being sent home early in the playoffs while not reaching the Super Bowl.’
