‘“I think the main thing is when you talk about things that might come up with the head coach that he’s got to deal with, and he’s not able to be in the room, that the message that he wants portrayed, whether it’s to the coaching staff, the team, whoever, that I’m portraying the exact same message that he would want the players to hear,” Carmichael said, giving examples. “Maybe, how are we running this route? How are we blocking this scheme? But he wants to make sure that the communication is as if he was in the room saying it.”

Stefon Diggs says he wanted to finish his career with the Bills – so why didn’t it happen?
“I really think it was just the business side of it,” he said. “Obviously, I was under contract. The personal side, a lot of things happened behind closed doors. I never really get into that. I never got into it since I got in the league. My departure in Minnesota, I never spoke about it. My departure in Buffalo, I never spoke about it. I feel like I keep business, business. Everybody knows what happened – the people who were in the room, and I kind of leave it at that. I try not to keep it in the public (eye), because telling your side of the story won’t win nobody over. I’m not trying to do that.”’
How the Patriots’ path to Super Bowl LX actually started in Buffalo
‘The win over Buffalo was New England’s second in a row in what ended up being a 10-game win streak that all but guaranteed them the division. The Bills actually halted the 10-game streak with a win in Foxborough but, at that point, had fallen too far behind New England to catch it for the AFC East title. The Patriots have been road warriors this season, going a perfect 9-0 combined in the regular season and postseason. “Winning that game on the road in Buffalo was huge for us,” quarterback Drake Maye said.’
Bills quarterback Josh Allen finishes third in NFL MVP voting
‘Stafford finished with 366 points from the 50 voters, with first-place votes being worth five points, second place worth four and so on. He received 24 first-place votes. Maye was second in the voting, with 361 points, including 23 first-place votes. The other three first-place votes went to Allen, who received two, and Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (one).’
Running a Super Bowl ad? Why not include the Bills
‘“We really wanted an authentic way to highlight what our staff does and what we do for the community and that we’re here, open and available for care 24/7 when somebody needs us, but also while adding a fun Bills tie into that campaign,” said Kristen Bieber, vice president of marketing and communications at Kaleida Health, which has been running Super Bowl commercials for at least the past several years. “It made sense for us to cap off the campaign during the Super Bowl, where you have a football-centric audience in our local market familiar with the Bills,” she added. “When people think of Buffalo sports, they think of the Bills and when they think of Buffalo health care, we want them to think of Kaleida Health.”
The lighter side of The News: A painful reference for Bills Mafia at ‘NFL Honors’
‘Late in the broadcast, host Jon Hamm referred to newlyweds and expectant parents Bills quarterback Josh Allen and actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld. Hamm said Steinfeld is “a catch.” Followed by this aside to Allen: “You know what a real catch is even when others don’t.”‘
Hyde looks back on Bills’ season as Super Bowl nears
‘”I think it’s safe to say I’m not excited about the Super Bowl just because the Patriots are in it,” he said. “I was hoping the Bills and the Seahawks would be in it. But it’s all good.”‘
Buffalo Bills on Philip Rivers as coach: ‘This (expletive) guy is really good’
‘After it all, Beane recalled to the News walking Rivers out of the building and asking him one final question: Did he really, truly, want this job? Was he really willing to move his entire family from the shores of Alabama to northwest New York – including his wife, Tiffany, and his many kids that still live at home (the Rivers’ clan is a dozen deep with the pair’s 10 kids)?’
Report: Buffalo Bills hiring Terrance Jamison
‘Jamison was one of the original 10 assistants Bret Bielema hired when he took the Illinois job in December 2020. The former Wisconsin defensive lineman, who played for Bielema in the mid-2000s, was promoted to co-defensive coordinator for the Illini in 2023. He helped mentor multiple eventual NFL players in Champaign, including All-American defensive lineman Johnny Newton.’
