Bills center Connor McGovern focused on the task at hand, not impending contract status

‘McGovern, 28, is in the final year of the three-year contract he signed to leave the Dallas Cowboys as an unrestricted free agent in 2023. It’s been one of the best moves made by Bills General Manager Brandon Beane at free agency.’

Lance Lysowski: This Bills season may be Sean McDermott’s most impressive as coach

‘Good coaches develop schemes that get their team into the playoffs. Great ones learn from the deficiencies that are exposed when they get there. For years, McDermott used nickel personnel − four defensive linemen, two linebackers and five defensive backs − as the foundation of his defense, but he pivoted this season in response to a league-wide trend of offenses deploying more plays that use a fullback, a sixth offensive lineman or multiple tight ends.’

Your chance to buy a Buffalo Bills PSL has passed. They’re all sold out

‘The Bills were able to sell more than 54,000 seat licenses, even after some initial trepidation over the team instituting the sale of PSLs at the new stadium and some sticker shock when the team first rolled out PSL prices for the costliest seats.’

Brandin Cooks confident he can make an impact after slow start with Bills

‘“We’ve got an unselfish group in our receiving room,” Cooks said. “We’re all kind of rotating and our run game is so amazing. We all can make plays, so it’s just a part of it. At the end of the day, my No. 1 goal — I just want to win. And I truly mean that. … When I’m in — it doesn’t matter how much — that’s just my mindset.”’

At their best, Bills are unbeatable

‘Sometimes we have needed to watch from the first possession of the second half. Sometimes not. But the second half has often been the magical one.’

Josh Allen, Hailee Steinfeld gifts ‘quarter of a cow’ to Bills offensive line

‘“One of my favourite parts about this time of year is gift giving,” said Monet, per People. “I think it’s really cool to see all the gifts the guys get each other, so I’m going to show you guys the gift Josh got for all the O-Linemen because it’s so sweet.”’

Can Jalen Hurts or Josh Allen break the career rushing TD record?

‘Allen already has the most rushing touchdowns by a QB in NFL history (77). Hurts, who was drafted two years after Allen in 2020, ranks third (63).’

Dalton Kincaid injury update from Buffalo Bills isn’t as alarming as it seems

‘”We’re trying to manage him because of his knee,” McDermott said. “He’s dealing with the knee. It’s basically week to week, day to day, trying to get him into a spot where’s he’s as fresh as possible for the games.”‘

What Josh Allen injury update from Buffalo Bills means for QB’s Week 17 status

‘Buffalo didn’t practice on Thursday due to the holiday, but the team did release an estimated injury report. Allen was once again listed as a limited participant.’

Remebering ‘The Ralph’ with Bills superfan John Lang

‘”Even the home opener this year was amazing to be at,” Lang noted. “Through the years, you think back on the Snow Game in ’17, the [Indianapolis Colts] game, where the tailgating was normal, but then all of a sudden, the snow just started pouring down. And my cousin-in-law comes up and he says I had about eight inches of snow just sitting on the top of my head. It was just crazy. I also think back on the cold games in ’93, it was the Jets and the Raiders, and it was so cold out here we had to keep our beer in a cooler to keep it from freezing. That’s how cold it was, tailgating and everything.”‘

Today in Bills stadium history: Dec. 26

‘1993 — Bills 16, Jets 14 — In what were the coldest conditions in stadium history (until the very next home game in the divisional round) the temperature at kickoff was 9 degrees with a wind-chill factor of minus-28. Thurman Thomas gained 90 yards from scrimmage and capped the opening drive with a 2-yard touchdown, but Buffalo didn’t find the end zone again and turned the ball over three times. Former Bills receiver Chris Burkett caught 6-yard touchdown pass from Boomer Esiason to put New York up 14-13 in the third quarter before Steve Christie made his third field goal of the day from 40 yards out to regain the lead with under four minute to play. Jets kicker Cary Blanchard missed a 42-yard attempt with 58 seconds left and the Bills went into victory formation to claim their fifth AFC East division title in six years with an 11-3 record. Jim Kelly was 20 of 31 passing for 256 yards with two interceptions, while Esiason was 22 of 31 for 232 yards with two TDs and no INTs. Attendance at Rich Stadium was 70,817.’
