‘Bishop and cornerback Christian Benford have arguably been the Bills’ most valuable players on defense this season. Among Bills defenders, Bishop ranks first in tackles (85), second in passes defended (seven) and first in interceptions (three).’

Bills notebook: Offensive coordinator Joe Brady says ‘we didn’t do the simple well’ in loss to Eagles
‘“We didn’t do the simple well,” Brady said Monday. “And there’s no reason we should ever go quarters, much less halves, much less three quarters, not scoring points. And so obviously, yesterday was not acceptable. And that always, always will start and end with me.”’
Bills Mailbag: Should Joe Brady be on the hot seat after this season?
‘To this point in the season, Josh Allen has regressed from the past few years. Perhaps that was to be expected coming off an MVP season, but it’s troubling nonetheless. Not all of that falls on Brady, but as the offensive coordinator, he’s got to take ownership of it. The quickest way for Brady’s job to be in jeopardy is to show an inability to protect Allen, who is the most important person in the entire franchise.’
The year in WNY sports: On the field and off, 2025 was full of massive moments for Josh Allen
‘Perhaps the only thing Josh Allen didn’t do in 2025 was win the Super Bowl. Who knows? Maybe that’s what 2026 has in store for the Buffalo Bills’ franchise quarterback.’
Erik Brady: We all have our own personal Highmark highlights. Here are some of mine
‘At the Courier, I worked first for the news desk. But after I switched to sports, I found myself at Rich Stadium so often that it felt like my other office.’
In final Highmark season, mourning Bills fan makes football pilgrimage
‘Growing up, Carhart was a self-proclaimed “bandwagon jumper” when it came to football. Whoever was good that season, that’s who she was rooting for. Some years it was the Packers or Steelers, others the Cowboys or Eagles. And, for obvious reasons, it had never been the Bills. That is, until nearly 20 years ago when her mother married MacMaster, a Bills fan “since before Jim Kelly.” They began bonding over watching Bills games in the living room of her parents’ house; him in his recliner rocking chair and her on the couch beside him.’
Buffalo Bills have 3 possible playoff seeds heading into their final game — here’s what each scenario means
‘The No. 7 seed would guarantee no home playoff games would take place for Buffalo, whereas the No. 5 seed keeps the door open ever so slightly if the conference has multiple upsets throughout the playoffs. That said, if Buffalo feels good about a third matchup against the Patriots, resting their starters and playing predictable football in Week 18 could be Buffalo’s path to this scenario playing out.’
Bills sign Chiefs Super Bowl champion ahead of playoffs
‘Buffalo is gearing up for their seventh consecutive postseason, the longest active streak in the NFL. Before the postseason starts, they have brought back a Super Bowl champion wide receiver, re-signing Mecole Hardman to their practice squad.’
Cortese remembers first game at Highmark Stadium
‘”It was probably the worst traffic jam I can safely say I’ve ever been in,” Cortese recalled. “We toyed with the idea of bailing out several times, but persevered. And when we got there, I think the game already had started.”‘
Tour guides take fans through decades of memories at Highmark Stadium
‘At the start of the month, the guides receive a schedule outlining tour dates. On the day a group is set to come in, the guide arrives early to make sure all spots are open to see — including locker rooms, the broadcast booths and the field. Loewke and Kern said recently they’ve started comparing the current stadium with the new one across the street.’
Today in Bills stadium history: Dec. 31
‘2023 — Bills 27, Patriots 21 — In the stadium’s only New Year’s Eve event, Buffalo got its fourth straight victory and earned the opportunity to win the AFC East title the following week in Miami. Cornerback Rasul Douglas, acquired in a midseason trade, had a star performance with two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown, and a tipped pass that was picked off by Ed Oliver, who added a sack. Terrel Bernard also had two sacks, and Christian Benford forced a fumble. Josh Allen struggled in going 15 of 30 passing for 154 net yards and no touchdowns, but had 44 yards rushing and two scoring runs. Dalton Kincaid had the best game of his rookie season with 87 yards receiving. Attendance at Highmark Stadium was 70,772 for what was Bill Belichick’s time here on the sideline.’
2025 Buffalo Bills End of Season Awards
‘Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen may not win NFL’s Most Valuable Player for the 2025 season but he has undoubtedly been the Bills’ MVP this season and could make an NFL All-Pro team for the third time in his career.’
Upon Further Review: What to make of the Bills’ defensive effort against the Eagles
‘The optimistic, glass-half-full view is that if it’s a sign of things to come, the Bills might have more wins in their future in games that are even more important than the one they played Sunday. Despite being without injured starters Jordan Poyer and DaQuan Jones from the start of the game, then losing middle linebacker Terrel Bernard during it, the Bills still held the defending Super Bowl champions to one first down and 16 total yards of offense in the second half. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts did not complete a single pass in the second half.’
Bills’ Shaq Thompson once again steps in for Terrel Bernard at middle linebacker
‘He did so again against the Eagles, playing 32 defensive snaps (59%) and finishing with three tackles, including one for a loss. The Bills ruled Bernard out Monday for the regular season finale against the Jets in Week 18, meaning Thompson could be in line for another start.’
Bills notebook: Sean McDermott undecided about which starters will face Jets
‘The Bills’ playoff fate is not decided. They can finish as high as the fifth seed or as low as the seventh. Though there is no easy road to Super Bowl LX, and Buffalo will start on the road no matter the result of Week 18, it’s better to avoid a wild-card matchup with the Denver Broncos (13-3) or New England Patriots (13-3).’
