‘1983 — Patriots 31, Bills 0 — Having scored 68 points and complied close to 1,000 yards over its past two victories, Buffalo’s offense stalled out for fewer than 300 yards and reached the red zone for a single snap against a New England defense that ranked second to last in the league coming into the game. Joe Ferguson was intercepted three times by Roland James, once near the goal line one play before Tony Collins broke off a 50-yard touchdown run to put the game away. Collins had 147 yards rushing and Steve Grogan threw a couple TD passes to Derrick Ramsey. Attendance was 60,424, and the loss dropped Buffalo’s record to 5-3.
