Bills’ Keon Coleman offers glowing James Cook scouting report with 3 words

‘“That dude do some great things,” Coleman said. “I don’t think he get enough credit. He get skinny through a lot of tight spaces, and he make guys miss and you would think you might have the angle, and he just look like he jogging, and beat the angle, and you just won’t catch him.”’

‘No comfortability’ in football for Bills star WR

‘“I know my role pretty well and execute that at my highest level, so I’m pretty comfortable in that sense, but really no comfortability when it come to playing football,” Coleman said. “You can’t get comfortable, like there’s always something else to do, always somebody else to beat out. There’s always more money to get. I mean, catching the ball, scoring, there’s always more you can get.”’

Josh Allen visor, explained: Why Bills QB is wearing extra protection on helmet after nose injury

‘Allen is wearing a visor to help protect his nose after taking a shot to that area in Week 2 against the Jets. With the visor, defenders won’t be able to easily hit his face through his helmet the way he was injured last week.’

Bills’ Josh Allen heaps praise on ‘absolute stud!’ James Cook

‘”He’s an absolute stud,” Allen said. “He makes us a better team, and throughout the entire training camp and OTA portion, we understood that. We knew that. I’m just very proud of how he handled everything this offseason and didn’t let it become a distraction because he’s looking as good as he ever has. So, very happy for him, one of my favorite teammates I’ve ever had.”’

Bills’ QB Josh Allen learns that sometimes, it’s OK for Superman to be Clark Kent

‘“Although it’s sometimes necessary for Allen to put the Bills on his back, he had issues early in his career of trying to do too much on his own,” ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg wrote. “That still comes up sometimes, but the Bills have shown that they don’t have to rely solely on Allen’s arm and legs. That was on display versus the Jets, as Buffalo’s dominant rushing attack led the way. James Cook finished with 132 yards and two touchdowns, and Allen didn’t score in a start for just the eighth time in his NFL career.”’

McDermott says Matt Milano could return this week

‘McDermott did not commit to the nine-year veteran returning on Wednesday, and also didn’t completely rule out a longer term injury, but said, “We’ll see. Hopefully we’ll get him back as we head into tomorrow here,” adding he could “potentially” practice on Wednesday.’

‘We need to deflate them’: Buffalo Bills preparing for Miami Dolphins team searching for first win

‘“ I’m sure they’re ready to get back on track,” right tackle Spencer Brown said. “We’ve got to prevent that, but maybe they throw in some gimmick stuff or start blitzing or more trick plays, whatever they’ve got. But we’re ready for that, we’re ready for whatever they bring for us.”’

This date in Bills stadium history: Sept. 17

‘1981 — Eagles 20, Bills 17 — In a homecoming game for Lackawanna native Ron Jaworski, the Eagles quarterback passed for 240 yards and two touchdowns to lead the reigning NFC champions in an early season matchup between unbeaten teams on ABC’s Thursday Night Football. “Jaws” as he was called walked off the turf at Rich Stadium with his older brother Bill and nephew Jeff, the Lackawanna QB at the time. “I guess the Super Bowl was a bigger game, but this was more emotional,” Jaworski’s brother told Hall of Fame Eagles historian Ray Didinger a few years back. Buffalo QB Joe Ferguson had for 187 yards passing with a TD to Frank Lewis, negated by two interceptions. The Bills didn’t lose another home game in 1981, finishing with a 10-6 record, same as Philadelphia.’

Bills DE Joey Bosa enjoying “fresh start”, making instant impact in Buffalo.

‘”Obviously having my hand down and being able to rush the passer, kind of getting back to my roots and you know what I played throughout my entire career in college, it was easy to pick up and yeah, it’s been enjoyable,” Bosa said after practice Tuesday.’

James Cook’s breakout game sparks excitement for Bills’ offense

‘“I really thought that week two and beyond, he would hit his rhythm, hit his groove a little bit more, because he missed a little bit of time right there, and maybe a window of a week, give or take, a training camp. So really good to see him last week, have the performance he did,” McDermott said.’

‘Swarming to the ball’ | Josh Allen, Sean McDermott and Bills players get ready for TNF vs. Miami

‘McDermott said defensive tackle Ed Oliver (ankle) and linebacker Matt Milano (pectoral) would miss practice for a second day in a row, while linebacker Shaq Thopmson (hamstring/hand), cornerback Taron Johnson (quad) and defensive back Cam Lewis (shoulder) were limited for a second day.’
