Bills reward another homegrown star not named James Cook with $50 million extension

‘The Bills have rewarded linebacker Terrel Bernard with a four-year, $50 million extension, Kyle Brandt announced on Good Morning Football. Bernard has been tremendous in his starting role since replacing Tremaine Edmunds in 2023. He had 143 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and three interceptions that season, cementing himself as one of the most well-rounded linebackers in football. Injuries kept him out of four games in 2024, but he still totaled over 100 tackles and two interceptions.’

Buffalo Bills sign two stars to big contracts; could running back be next?

‘The Bills have spent the last week dishing out money to two of their other stars, so Cook may feel that he’s up next.’

Bills star says he will restructure his $60 million contract to help Buffalo get Myles Garrett

‘Dawkins also said he would be willing to re-work his deal to help acquire Garrett. “[The front office] has to move that chess board around and re-paint those pictures,” Dawkins said. “In a sense of restructuring and figuring out how we can figure out where we can have a little more confetti to pay… I’m willing for them to go in my book and play with things. I want to win.”‘

Bills sign linebacker Terrel Bernard to four-year contract extension

‘The Bills announced on Friday they have agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension with linebacker Terrel Bernard. According to reports, the deal is worth up to $50 million, with $25 million worth of guaranteed money.’

Why extending Terrel Bernard was a no brainer for the Buffalo Bills

‘It’s a fair deal for both sides but very good value for the Bills, keeping their 25-year-old linebacker with the team as he’s about the enter the prime of his career. It always felt like it was a foregone conclusion that they would extend Bernard, but we didn’t know for how much. And this is a more team-friendly deal than I was anticipating.’

Bills lock up LB Terrel Bernard with 4-year extension

‘Bernard is now under contract through the 2029 season. NFL Network reports the four-year extension is worth $50 million, with more than $25 million guaranteed. Bernard was accounting for $3.5 million against Buffalo’s salary cap in the final season of his rookie contract.’

Buffalo Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard agrees to terms on a four-year contract extension

‘The middle linebacker was selected by his teammates as one of Buffalo’s two captains for the 2024 season. Bernard finished his third NFL season with 104 tackles, two interceptions, five tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, one sack and three passes defensed.’
