Sources: Bills’ Joe Brady pulls out of running for Saints job

‘Brady, 35, is in his first full season running Buffalo’s offense after taking over the role in an interim capacity during the 2023 season when Ken Dorsey was fired. Brady was hired as the Bills’ quarterbacks coach in 2022. He also served as the Carolina Panthers’ offensive coordinator in 2020 and in 2021, before being fired midseason.’

2025 AFC Championship: NFL legend compares Bills-Chiefs to legendary Bulls-Pistons rivalry

‘”What Kansas City has accomplished, you respect it so much,” Brees said during a one-on-one interview with CBS Sports. “It’s unprecedented. At the same time, you’ve got Josh Allen on on the other side. … I’ll make the Bulls-Pistons comparison. It’s trying to get over the hump, trying to get past kind of the big bully. Kansas City’s only loss (with Mahomes starting) this year was to the Bills. Now that was in Buffalo … but you just feel like, man, Buffalo is right there. It’s their opportunity.”‘

Bills OC Joe Brady to remain in Buffalo, withdraws name from Saints’ head coaching search

‘The Bills had the second-best scoring offense in the league this year with Brady as the full-time play-caller. He took over 10 games into last season after head coach Sean McDermott fired Ken Dorsey, and the offense flourished under Brady to end the season.’

Three reasons to root for Bills in AFC Championship: Fresh faces, chance to join Bills Mafia, more

‘You’ll hear it a lot from football fans outside of Kansas City: “ABC. Anyone but the Chiefs.” The Chiefs are in their seventh straight AFC Championship game and if they advance, it would be their fifth Super Bowl appearance in six years. If you’re thinking it’s time for someone else to get a chance to play on the biggest stage in American sports, you’re not alone.’

Bills vs. Chiefs matchup breakdown: Which team has the edge at each position in AFC Championship?

‘Josh Allen had a better 2024 regular season than did Patrick Mahomes. He averaged more yards per attempt, threw for more touchdowns and fewer interceptions, took fewer sacks, created more explosive plays and added more expected points per dropback, via TruMedia. And yet … there is no possible way that one can say any other QB in this league is better than Mahomes. Not given what we know about Mahomes, what he’s capable of, what he does on a weekly basis in the playoffs and even what he’s done against this specific Bills team.’

2025 AFC Championship: Why Bills leaning on James Cook, ground attack must be emphasis on offense vs. Chiefs

‘Counting the playoffs, Cook has had 15% of his runs go for zero or negative yards, the 11th-lowest rate among the 46 running backs with 100-plus carries. Fascinatingly, nine of the 10 backs with a lower rate in that advanced stat also had a lower percentage of eight-plus defenders in the box on their respective runs this season. The only back with a lower rate of runs that have gone for no gain or lost yardage and a higher stacked-box rate is Derrick Henry.’

Patrick Mahomes vs. Josh Allen tale of the tape: Which AFC Championship QB has the edge in Chiefs vs. Bills?

‘While Allen wasn’t nearly as prolific as, say, Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson in the MVP race, there’s a reason he’s drawn plenty of support for the NFL’s top individual honor: Not only has the Bills’ leader remained dynamic as a dual threat, ranking second only to Jalen Hurts in rushing scores, but he’s significantly cut down on untimely turnovers, enjoying his most efficient run since 2020, when — not coincidentally — he also led Buffalo to an AFC Championship clash against the Chiefs.’

Chiefs vs. Bills Game Day Guide: How to Watch, Stream and What’s at Stake

‘Meanwhile, Sunday’s game gives the Bills a chance to overcome what has been a Sisyphean task: beating the Chiefs in the playoffs.’

Bills OC Joe Brady Withdraws From Consideration for NFC Head Coach Vacancy

‘Brady has removed himself from consideration for the New Orleans Saints’ head coaching vacancy, according to a Saturday afternoon report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.’

Who are the Announcers and Referees for Bills-Chiefs?

‘Clete Blakeman will have crew chief duties for Sunday’s game in Kansas City. Blakeman, an Omaha-based personal injury attorney, is known among trivia-minded fans for his stint as Nebraska’s quarterback from 1984 to ’87. This is his 16th career postseason game.’

Josh Allen overtime record: How Bills QB, coach Sean McDermott have fared in OT games in careers

‘However, Allen has not yet proven he’s capable of winning a game in overtime.’

Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes record: How Bills QB has failed to beat Chiefs rival in NFL playoffs

‘Allen came about as close as anyone can come to taking Burrow out of that group and putting himself in when he gave the Bills the lead with 13 seconds remaining three years ago, but he’s instead still searching for his first trip to the Super Bowl against Mahomes again on Sunday.’

Buffalo Bills get best possible news regarding offensive coordinator Joe Brady

‘While the Buffalo Bills defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs last Sunday, there were many that were vocal about their displeasure with Joe Brady having head coaching interviews ahead of the game. Not so much angry at Brady, angry at the process. However, a Bills win all but drowned out that frustration, and the latest swarm of hirings will likely bring the best possible outcome for Bills fans.’

Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady gives Bills Mafia news they’ve been hoping to hear

‘According to Ian Rapoport, Brady has pulled out of the running for the Saints job and is staying in Buffalo for the 2025 season. The Bills are set to play in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, and should they win, it would be twice as sweet knowing they will be running things back with Brady next season.’

Sean McDermott career timeline: Teams coached, total wins, and more to know about Bills coach

‘The Bills figure to keep McDermott around for years to come, but pressure on the veteran coach will only increase if he doesn’t guide Buffalo to the Super Bowl this season.’
