Bills head coach Sean McDermott makes embarrassing admission after loss to Rams

‘According to the Bills’ head coach, the Bills didn’t have 11 players on the field on the final play of the game, which was a punt with seven seconds remaining. And while it likely wouldn’t have changed the outcome, the fact that Buffalo was so unprepared in the final moments is somewhat of a microcosm for McDermott in big games – flawed and outcoached.’

Josh Allen stats today: Bills QB sews up MVP despite loss to Rams with double TD hat trick

‘The result, to also channel the NHL, was a double hat trick that the NFL has never seen before. Allen became the first player in league history to post three passing touchdowns (22-of-37, 342 yards, 117.2 rating, 9.2 yards per attempt) and another three rushing (10 attempts, 82 yards). Allen also had zero turnovers through all that — another key MVP calling card for his season.’

Bills WR Mack Hollins helps raise over $450,000 for Special Olympics in extreme manner

‘Hollins partook in the polar plunge in Lake Erie to help raise money for the Special Olympics.’

AFC Playoff Picture: How Bills loss impacts race for No. 1 seed with Chiefs, Steelers

‘Buffalo already clinched the AFC East title, ensuring the team’s playoff run will start at home. A first-round bye, however, is looking like an uphill battle after the Bills’ third loss of the season.’

Bills-Rams game-ending punt, explained: Buffalo takes field with just nine players on final play

‘Faced with an interesting decision, Rams head coach Sean McVay opted to punt the ball away and bleed the clock that way. While Buffalo could’ve tried for the punt block, the Bills just let the Rams punt the ball without a block or a return.’

Josh Allen cements himself as NFL MVP, but loss to Rams highlighted reoccurring warts for Bills

‘From the opening drive, it was evident Sean McVay was going to outclass Bills head coach Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Bobby Babich, and there were no adjustments made. Matthew Stafford entered the game with a much better DVOA against zone defenses (24 percent) than against man defense (six percent). Yet, the Bills lived in zone defense all game, and they were carved up by Stafford and Puka Nacua. Stafford finished the game 22-of-30 for 320 yards and two scores, while Nacua hauled in 12 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown while rushing for another. The Rams punted just once in the game (excluding the final play of the game).’

Bills fall to Rams in nail-biter

‘The Bills struggled to get things going early and rallied in the second half but ultimately fell short by a score of 44-42.’

McDermott: ‘I feel like we didn’t come out very urgent’ in loss to the Rams

‘It was not a good day for the defense Sunday, the Bills gave up a season high 44 points along with only forcing one punt from the Rams offense and not getting a sack from quarterback Matthew Stafford.’

Opinion: Simon: Bills make wrong kind of history

‘On Sunday, Josh Allen became the first NFL quarterback in 70 years to have as many as three touchdown passes and three rushing touchdowns in the same game. Yet, the Bills still lost.’

Opinion: Capaccio: Arrow Up/Arrow Down: Bills at Rams

‘No NFL team should lose a game in which they score 42 points. But the Bills did. Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Bobby Babich were out-coached on that side of the ball by Sean McVay and his staff. They had no answers for the Rams multiple formations and motion.’

Despite the record-setting performance, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen takes accountability

‘”Gotta make one more play than they do however it may be,” Josh Allen told reporters after the game. “So again it was a total team loss, three phases and we didn’t feel like we played up to our standard and it starts with me.”‘

Bills fans enjoy watch party with Thurman Thomas

‘“They are kind of my age or a little older, so I hear about the 90s stories all the time,” Thomas said. “But it’s also great for them to be out here to support the team now.”’

Bills fall to Rams; 7-game winning streak snapped

‘The Buffalo Bills entered Sunday’s game at the Los Angeles Rams having won seven consecutive games. They couldn’t make it eight, falling 44-42 in a wild game at SoFi Stadium.’

Carucci Take 2: Major defensive letdown costs Bills dearly vs. Rams

‘They simply had no answers for the Rams’ passing game. LA’s top receivers, Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, combined for 17 receptions for 254 yards and each had a touchdown reception. Matthew Stafford threw for 320 yards and a pair of TDs on the way to a 132.6 passer rating.’

MVP watch: Josh Allen sets NFL record with 3 TD passes, 3 touchdown runs

‘Those didn’t numbers didn’t provide much solace for Allen and the Bills, who saw their seven-game winning streak snapped just one week after they wrapped up their fifth consecutive AFC East crown.’
