Opinion: Arrow Up/Arrow Down: Jaguars at Bills (in London)

‘The Bills defense had its worst tackling performance of the season. It was especially an issue late in the game, as they were obviously tired.’

Was travel an excuse or reason for Bills’ loss in London?

‘“We’ll see if, whatever comes up down the road in terms of us coming back here, but we need to evaluate everything because I didn’t feel like our energy was good enough early in the game. [The Jaguars] had better energy than we did,” McDermott said.’

Opinion: London was calling, but Bills didn’t answer

‘Yes, the Jaguars were in London all week, having played a game there seven days earlier, while the Bills didn’t arrive until about 48 hours before kickoff. Those are all true, but the fact remains the Bills offense, or lack thereof for the first three quarters, is why they ended up losing.’

Injuries, penalties stall the Buffalo Bills in a 25-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars

‘Just when you thought a 25-13 deficit was how this game would end, Allen and the offense pulled off a four-play, 75-yard drive in large part due to a 43-yard pass to Deonte Harty. Allen called his own number and scored on a three-yard run to make it a 25-20 deficit. Buffalo then attempted an onside kick that had a chance to be recovered, but instead, it landed out of bounds.’

Too little, too late; Buffalo Bills offense sputters in loss to Jaguars

‘”At the end of the day we got to be ready to play Sunday. It didn’t matter if we traveled on Saturday, Friday, Thursday, Monday, two weeks ago it didn’t matter. We didn’t put out our best stuff. They did and that’s why they beat us.” said quarterback Josh Allen.’

What now? Matt Milano’s injury piles more adversity and uncertainty on the Buffalo Bills defense

‘According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Milano suffered a fractured leg and is feared to have suffered a season-ending knee injury. “They are checking on the ACL. MRI coming, but missing the rest of the season is likely,” Rapoport said in a tweet.’

‘It’s a lifestyle,’ Buffalo Bills fans wake up early for London watch parties across WNY

‘”The place was full. We had about 100 people. It was just beyond expectations,” Pastor Steve Beigner from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eggertsville said. “It was great to come together — to make sure that we take time for somebody’s normal worship pattern, along with getting ready to beat the Jaguars.”‘

Bills Mafia decides: Is tailgating better in Orchard Park or London?

‘”Walking around I feel like this is even better than back home tailgating, which I didn’t think you could compare to that, ever,” said Lisa Scheider from Hamburg who now lives in Poland.’

Sean McDermott questions London travel plans after Bills get beat by rested Jags

‘“We’ll see if, whatever comes up down the road in terms of us coming back here, but we need to evaluate everything because I didn’t feel like our energy was good enough early in the game. They had better energy than we did,” McDermott said.’

Bills lose All-Pro LB Matt Milano, carted off with knee, leg injuries

‘“I know it’s not looking good right now,” Bills coach Sean McDermott said following the 25-20 loss against the Jaguars. “But I don’t know any details beyond that at this point.”’

Bills game broadcasted with both English, Spanish feeds

‘Afterwards, it appeared that the game was going back and forth between English and Spanish feeds. However, the issue appeared to be fixed later in the first quarter.’

Bars, restaurants cash in on Bills London game

‘“We opened at 9 a.m., there was a line up the street,” said Josh Mullin, co-owner of Jack Rabbit. “By 9:01 every seat in he building was full.”’

London falling: Bills comeback comes up short against Jacksonville

‘Stuck on 7 points with less than five minutes to play, the Bills scored two late touchdowns to give themselves a chance. But an onside kick before the 2-minute warning bounced away and out of Buffalo’s grasp in a 25-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.’

2 the point: Quick thoughts on the Bills’ Week 5 game vs. the Jaguars

‘Time of possession loomed large. The Jaguars held the ball for 38 minutes, 12 seconds. Of course, when you hold onto the ball for that long, that typically means you’re moving the chains too. Jacksonville did just that, outgaining Buffalo 474-388.’

Carucci Take 2: Bills can’t overcome early lack of energy, defensive injuries in loss to Jaguars

‘The Bills looked every bit like a team suffering from jet lag. They were lethargic for most of the first half. They showed more urgency and energy in the second half, but it was too little too late.’
