Dan Morgan leaves Bills for Panthers Assistant GM job

‘The former Buffalo Bills’ director of player personnel was hired on Saturday by the Carolina Panthers to serve as their assistant general manager. Morgan, a former first round pick of the Panthers back in 2001, spent his entire career with the team (2001-2007). During his time in Carolina, Morgan was named an All-Pro once and named to one Pro Bowl roster.’

‘Morgan was most recently the Buffalo Bills director of player personnel, a position he has held since 2018. He previously worked with Fitterer in the Seattle Seahawks front office. The pair have a close relationship and worked together from 2010-18. Morgan began in Seattle as a scouting intern in 2010 and worked his way to the team’s director of pro personnel. During that time, Fitterer was the Seahawks’ director of college scouting and then co-director of player personnel.’

‘This makes sense, as Diggs was listed as questionable with an oblique injury heading into Super Wild Card Weekend, but all reports indicated he would suit up for that first postseason matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The injury didn’t seem to affect him at all, as he lit up the Colts for 128 yards and a touchdown on six touches.’

Bills’ Stefon Diggs played through insane injury during the 2021 NFL playoffs

‘Diggs led the NFL with 127 catches and 1,535 yards on the season in the Bills’ pass-happy offense. It was easily the best campaign of his career, and the All-Pro first teamer’s success continued into the playoffs. In three games for Buffalo during the postseason, Diggs posted 20 catches for 311 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His performance was certainly impressive, but it was even more impressive in the aftermath of a revelation Diggs made on Twitter on Wednesday night.’

Bills offseason program, minicamp dates announced

‘Voluntary offseason workouts, otherwise known as OTAs, for all Bills players will be held on May 24-25, May 27, June 1-2, June 4, June 7-8, and June 10-11. All incoming rookies, including tryout players, as well as any other players on the roster with less than one accrued season are eligible to participate.’

‘On Wednesday, in an interview with Steve Tasker and Chris Brown, Beane was asked about theoretically cutting an unvaccinated player if it meant operations returning to normal at the team’s facility [no mask mandates, in-person meetings, etc]. This hypothetical situation was under the basis of one unvaccinated player being the difference between two different tiers of restrictions.’
