Ed Oliver will participate in Bills’ offseason program despite DWI and weapons charges, per report

‘Oliver, the ninth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, had a strong rookie season and is poised to be a key contributor to one of the best defenses in the league. According to a report from NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero, Oliver is expected to take part in the Bills’ virtual offseason program despite the arrest. However, he could later be subject to suspension or other discipline under the league’s personal conduct policy.’

‘”If they don’t (win the AFC East), then something’s wrong,” Kelly said to Zach Gelb on CBS Sports Radio over the weekend. “Tom Brady is not there to block you anymore. That to me is huge. … Now that Brady’s out, I do believe the Bills are the team to beat even though the Jets are getting better, Miami with Tua (Tagovailoa) coming in — I think they’ll be better. Belichick will have New England ready to play.’

‘“Gentle Ben” certainly did not play gentle. Williams led Buffalo’s defensive line in tackles for five of his last six seasons, and was a member of the 1982 Pro Bowl. His 150 career games as a Bill ranked third all time in team history when he retired prior to the 1986 season.’
