He said in the afternoon of the first day teams could talk to free agents, he made a call to Minnesota on Stefon Diggs and Minnesota wasn’t interested at that time. He talked to Minnesota later and they said it needed to be a big deal. Beane circled back later and worked on the deal at about 9:45pm or so and about 30 minutes later, it was done.’
