‘Buffalo’s new DL coach, Eric Washington, was Butler’s DL coach from 2016-2017 and his defensive coordinator from 2018-2019.’

‘Jefferson isn’t expected to start in Buffalo despite recording 24 starts in the last two seasons with the Seahawks. Although he’ll serve as depth behind Oliver, one draft analyst believes he’s an upgrade over Jordan Phillips.’

‘The Bills signed running back Senorise Perry and linebacker Maurice Alexander last offseason for their special teams ability. Both players are free agents this offseason and one or both could lose their roster spot to Matakevich.’

‘Matakevich is another strong addition to Buffalo’s special teams unit. The reserve linebacker recorded 19 special teams tackles in 2019, tied for the most in the NFL last season. Over the last four seasons, no player has more special teams tackles than Matakevich.’

‘But Addison is a premium pass rusher who has notched at least 9 sacks in each of the last four seasons. Lawson was never going to be that kind of player for the Bills and it seems to be what they were looking for considering they didn’t extend the same deal they gave Addison to Lawson.’
