Bills’ Sean McDermott has ‘even stronger’ relationship with Andy Reid, the mentor who once fired him

‘This is what McDermott, who recently completed his third season as head coach of the Buffalo Bills, had to say about Reid in a conversation with The Buffalo News this week: “This relationship and the way it’s developed, I would say, is even stronger now than it was years ago. It’s developed, in part, because he and I have shared conversations about those days. Andy always had my best interests in mind. I don’t think it was one of the things that he wanted to do, but he knew he had to. And at the end of the day, I think God had a plan for my career and I’m happy to say, also, that it looks like God had a plan for Andy. And I’m happy for him and his family as to where they’ve ended up.”‘
