Bills Improve To 8-3 Following 20-3 Win Over Broncos

‘Rookie Ed Oliver and Star Lotulelei had a sack apiece, while cornerback Tre’Davious White snuffed out a potential scoring drive by intercepting Brandon Allen at the Buffalo 8 in the final minute of the first half.’

Frank Gore passes Sanders for No. 3 on rushing list

‘A model of durability, playing in 217 of 231 possible games, Gore, 36, could finish his career in his current position on the all-time list. He’s roughly 1,500 yards from the No. 2 rusher, Walter Payton, and 3,000 yards from the all-time leader, Emmitt Smith.’

Frank Gore passes Barry Sanders for third on career rushing list, and here’s how he’s stayed productive

‘What makes Gore special is his ability to make an impact on a game without needing 30 carries to do so. He has averaged over 4.0 yards per carry for a season on 11 different occasions. He’s averaged at least 4.6 yards per carry five times, including a career high 5.4 yards per carry in 2006. In 2012, the year he helped lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl, Gore averaged 4.7 yards per carry while earning his second of three straight Pro Bowl selections. Gore has also been an underrated pass catcher, with 464 career receptions and 18 career touchdown catches.’

Bills defense and run game dominates Denver in a 20-3 win

‘In the fourth quarter, John Brown made a tough catch that was originally ruled as incomplete, but review proved that Allen’s pass to Brown was a touchdown and gave the Bills a 20-3 lead to close out the scoring. To put the cap in the afternoon, Gore would then surpass Barry Sanders for sole possession of third place in NFL history for rushing yards in a career.’

Another stress free Bills victory

‘There really wasn’t much to complain about from the Bills perspective. Penalties would be at the top of a very short list. Buffalo was flagged 12 times for 90 yards. No time for the Bills to celebrate this one since they have a short work week and a Thanksgiving day matchup in Dallas. After the Cowboys come games with Baltimore, Pittsburgh and New England. Its a major step up in competition since all four teams currently have a winning record. Through the first 11 games of the season the Bills faced only two teams that have a winning record at this point, New England(loss) and Tennessee(win).’

Arrow Up/Arrow Down – Broncos at Bills

‘Lawson continues to have the best season of his career. He had two of the team’s four total sacks, resulting in 23 yards of losses, and also added three quarterback hurries.’

Frank Gore passes Barry Sanders on all-time rushing list in Bills’ 20-3 win over Broncos

‘Defensively, Tre’Davious White got his fourth interception of the year and the front seven got to Brandon Allen four times.’

Gore paving the way for Singletary in Bills’ backfield

‘”First 100 man,” Gore said while Singletary answered questions. “I love that kid. He’s very humble. He kind of reminds me of myself. He doesn’t say much and he just plays ball.”‘

Bills top Broncos, improve to 8-3

‘Rookie Devin Singletary eclipsed the 100 yard mark in a game for the first time in his career with Frank Gore added 66 yards and moved into the third place on the NFL’s all-time rushing list..’

Frank Gore passes Barry Sanders for 3rd on NFL all-time rushing list

‘“It’s big man, blessed,” Gore said after the game. “I’m blessed, I’m happy. After the game when I saw all the cameras, I thought, I passed Barry. Barry was probably the best to do it.”’

4 Observations: Bills beat Broncos 20-3

‘For the second straight game, the Bills were able to hit on several “chunk” plays. The offense finished with 5 plays of 20+ yards, including a 34-yard touchdown pass from Josh Allen to John Brown. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll decided to go up-tempo at times against the Broncos and it was successful.’

A look back: What life was like the last time the Bills were 8-3

‘For starters, it was the year Bill Clinton was re-elected as President and a gallon of gas was a $1.22.’

Bills Gameday Recap: Week 12 vs. Broncos

‘Veteran running back Frank Gore passed Barry Sanders on the NFL’s all-time rushing list, rookie running back Devin Singletary broke the century mark, and the Bills improved to 8-3 for the first time since 1996.’

Lawson unleashes on Denver OL after Bills win

‘When players from both sides stepped on the field for the traditional post game greeting, Lawson found Broncos guard Connor McGovern. There were not going to be any handshakes.’

Not the Same Old (2019) Bills

‘The Bills will have an opportunity to change things with Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson and the rematch with Brady scheduled for three of the next four. We’ll find out soon enough if the improved Bills are good enough to hang with other legit playoff contenders.’
