Buffalo Bills have discussed pursuing Patriots free agent DE Trey Flowers (report)

‘Flowers is one of the top free agents on the market and is expected to get a contract in the $17-19 million per season range after four seasons in New England. He finished 2018 with 7.5 sacks and help lead the Patriots to their second Super Bowl title in three seasons.’

NFL free agency: Should Bills target Patriots T Trent Brown or DE Trey Flowers?

‘Flowers is expected to sign a deal in the neighborhood of $14-17 million per year. He is a force on the defensive line and makes play both against the pass and against the run.’

Ralph Wilson’s vision for play

‘Project Play Western New York is an arm of the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo, which has partnered with the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation to provide support for programs and initiatives that reflect the personal passions of Mr. Wilson. The Foundation is active in seven counties of southeast Michigan, and the eight counties that comprise Western New York — including Allegany County.’

Former Dolphins running back Frank Gore to sign with Bills

‘Gore, the NFL’s fourth all-time leading rusher, intended to play a 15th season and preferred to be re-signed by the Dolphins as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Ex-Texans corner Kevin Johnson joining Bills

‘Johnson was due a $9.069 million fifth-year club option that was guaranteed for injury only before being cut by the Texans. That money would have become fully guaranteed next week at the start of the league year.’

AP sources: Busy Bills agree to sign 4, including Gore

‘The Bills are coming off a 6-10 season and are projected to have more than $70 million of space available under the salary cap once the free agent signing period opens.’

Free Agency-Bills Capsule

‘And after spending past two years purging high-priced and underachieving players, they also have money to spend, though GM Brandon Beane maintains he’ll be “judicious.”‘

Sources: Morse going to Bills for 4 years, $44.5M

‘Morse started 15 games as a rookie but wasn’t available for either of the Chiefs’ two playoff games that year because of a concussion. He was limited to seven games in 2017 and 11 in 2018, plus two in the playoffs, because of injuries.’

RB Gore to sign deal with Bills, source says

‘Gore is one of the NFL’s iron men. His 2018 season ended on Dec. 16 after he suffered a right foot sprain, which snapped a streak of 126 consecutive games that dated back to 2010.’

Bills reach 3-year deal with ex-Bengals TE Kroft

‘Although Kroft went into the 2018 season looking like he would be the Bengals’ No. 2 tight end behind a healthy Tyler Eifert, injuries derailed most of his season. Kroft fractured his foot in a Week 5 game against the Miami Dolphins on Oct. 7 but continued to stay on the active roster in hopes he could return that year.’

Reports: Ex-Texans CB Johnson to join Bills

‘He was placed on injured reserve last season after suffering a concussion in a Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots. It was his second concussion in less than a month, as he also left Houston’s preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers on Aug. 19 after hitting his head on the field.’

Frank Gore reportedly set to join Bills for 15th NFL season on a one-year, $2 million deal

‘Gore might find it difficult to match his success from a season ago, though, considering just how bad of a run-blocking unit the Bills’ offensive line was a year ago. McCoy, typically one of the most productive running backs in football, averaged 3.2 yards per carry this past season after averaging 4.6 yards per carry during his first three seasons with the Bills.’

Report: Mitch Morse Plans to Sign With Bills

‘Morse was drafted by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft. He missed time during the 2017 season with a foot injury. While he returned that season, he re-injured his foot in Week 14 and was placed on injured reserve.’

Report: Bills, Running Back Frank Gore Agree to One-Year Deal

‘Gore has recorded a career 3,382 attempts for 14,748 yards and 77 touchdowns over 14 seasons in the league. He was drafted by the 49ers in the third round of the 2005 NFL draft out of Miami. He played with San Francisco until 2014, and he is the 49ers all-time leader in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Gore has nine 1,000-rushing-yard seasons and five Pro Bowl selections. Gore spent three seasons with the Colts before going to Miami.’

NFL free agency rumors: Frank Gore to sign with Bills on 1-year, $2M deal

‘Gore, who just finished a one-year stint in Miami, suffered a sprained foot in Week 15 and was ruled out for the rest of the season. He finished 2018 with 722 rushing yards, and it was the first time in his career he did not record a rushing touchdown.’
