RB Chris Ivory, TE Charles Clay among Bills inactives

‘Though Ivory was able to practice in a limited capacity this week, head coach Sean McDermott hinted that the running back’s shoulder injury was unlikely to be 100 percent for the remainder of the season.’

Bills Today: Bills could ‘feel’ Lorenzo Alexander’s impact

‘“He had to line up in different places for us and you saw the takeaway he had on the interception,” McDermott said. “I thought the impact he had on the game was significant. You could feel him out there. He does a really good job for us.”’

Bills’ undrafted rookies recall phone calls that changed their lives

‘“That’s a blessing. That’s strong, man,” undrafted rookie wide receiver Robert Foster said. “It’s not just for us. It’s for the people that’s in this year’s draft. Regardless if you get drafted or not, we are a testimony for the people that don’t get drafted for next year. I just want them to understand that anything that you put your mind to, anything that you believe in, you can accomplish.”’

Pregame primer: 5 things to watch when Bills visit Patriots

‘Josh Allen vs. Tom Brady. Allen missed the first game against New England because of injury, so it’s his first time going up against the best quarterback of all time. Allen’s completion percentage has been a hot topic this week. The Bills say they’re not overly concerned with it, even though it’s just 52 percent. Still, it would be nice to see the rookie improve that number over the final two games.’

Bills-Patriots Scouting Report: Stephon Gilmore ranked as NFL’s top cornerback

‘Patriots 27, Bills 17.’

Play to Watch: Defending James White in space

‘Tom Brady is great at delivering throws to the flats on target and quicker than most quarterbacks, which allows White to get maximum yards out of the backfield.’

One-on-One Coverage: Bills kicker Stephen Hauschka on hip injury, ‘baggage’ and letting go

‘“I have a lot of empathy and respect for all my teammates who get hit, and then still go out there,” Hauschka said. “This is the norm for them, so it’s just a little dose of what they deal with all the time. The other thing is, anytime you’re out there on the field, you’ve got to be, I guess, ready. Guys are getting paid to make hits, so anytime you’re out there, you can take a hit, I guess.”’

Jay Skurski’s Bills Mailbag: Could a Grinch steal Brian Daboll?

‘This is not meant to be a knock on Daboll, but he would be a very tough sell to a fanbase. The Bills have the 31st-ranked offense in the NFL. For a while, it looked like one of the worst offenses in the history of the NFL. I get that Daboll has ties to Bill Belichick (and Nick Saban), but that has not equaled success for several former New England assistants. Perhaps a team strikes out on its top choices and resorts to Daboll, similar to what happened with Mike Pettine and the Cleveland Browns a few years ago, but I see Daboll back here next year. If the offense under Allen takes a major step forward in 2019, I’d see him as more of a realistic candidate.’

Inside the Bills: How Josh Allen formed a special bond with fans

‘“Micah Hyde came up to me and gave me a hug and we talked for a little bit. Coach McDermott was super nice,” Jordan said. “Zay Jones came up and gave me his gloves. Jordan Poyer gave me his cleats. Josh gave me his game cleats. Harry Phillips gave me his gloves. Mr. Pegula, he was super kind. Brandon Beane was super kind. Tre White, I met him and he’s a character. He was super nice to me.”’

Patriots crying over two straight losses – Bills fans are surely laughing at that one

‘The horror! The outrage! Two straight losses! Fire Bill Belichick! Cut Tom Brady!’

Bill Belichick says it’s always tough against Bills despite his two decades of domination

‘“We didn’t see Allen; he’s been impressive,” said Belichick. “Foster. He’s averaging 25 yards per catch. That’s a lot to average. A very explosive player and gets behind the defense, a catch-and-run player. He’s fast, really fast. Allen’s got a great arm and can’t overthrow him. He can’t outrun the quarterback. The quarterback can get the ball down the field to him. He’s been very exciting to watch.”’

Facing Patriots Tom Brady a dream come true for Bills Josh Allen

‘“Obviously the game means a lot to him, to play at the level that he’s played at, through his career and still be going at that age,’’ Allen said. “When I was little, I didn’t think I’d ever get the chance to play him because that was a long time ago, but we’re here now and he’s still one of the most dominant quarterbacks in the game. He was a big part of my development watching quarterbacks and who I wanted to be.’’’

Are the Patriots at risk today against Bills?

‘Yeah, the Pats are are fifth in offensive yardage (395 yards per game), sixth in passing yards (278), seventh in scoring (27 points per) and ninth in third-down conversions (42 percent). But the defense is showing cracks. It’s 29th in sacks and 23rd in both offensive yards (373) and passing yards (257) surrendered per game.

Pollock: There’s a reason Bills are absent from Pro Bowl

‘Alexander’s seeming slight is tied to the reality that many fan voters cast their ballots for more than his play on the field. They considered his extremely high character and vast leadership skills which easily make him a Pro Bowl “person,” especially since he’s the Bills representative for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award for his work both on and off the field.’
