Daboll: Peterman will have the freedom he needs to run the offense

‘Well, I’d say we have plenty of plays in the offense and each week is going to be different based on who we’re playing, too. Everybody was accountable to be able to do all of the things. Now, if somebody does something a little better or if someone doesn’t have the comfort level with one particular play, then we don’t do those plays.’

‘It doesn’t matter much anyway because Peterman’s success or failure won’t ultimately be what decides McDermott’s long-range fate. That will likely come down to when Josh Allen goes in and how he looks when he does.’

Daboll knows tough test awaits in Baltimore

‘“They’re smart and savvy back there. They do a good job of fooling guys, particularly quarterbacks,” he said. “Baltimore Raven defenses have been historically good since 2000. They just keep replenishing guys to fill those roles. (Terrell)Suggs has been there forever. He’s a problem. They’re good.”‘

Can Bills defense get to the QB in 2018?

‘”He’s an outstanding quarterback as it is, so you’d like to be able to have him under duress at some point,” added defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. “We believe we’ve improved our pass rush adding Trent and some other things that we’re doing. We’ll see when Sunday begins.”‘

Peterman: Adversity gives you strength

‘I visualized being the starter every day I stepped on the field, whether it was an OTA practice, training camp or the preseason. I think it’s important with goals to visualize what you’re working towards and try to make it come true. I visualized being ready and stepping on the field in Baltimore in week one and trying to get a win.’
