Learning is a two-way street for Bills rookies at Buffalo school

‘Many Bills fans were ready to move on from Taylor and they got their wish this offseason. Buffalo received good value in dealing the quarterback, but it’s hard to envision McCarron, Allen or Nathan Peterman being better in 2018. Taylor had his faults, but also kept many drives and plays alive with his athleticism. It’s possible that one of the Bills’ three quarterbacks steps up this season, but for now the position is viewed as a downgrade due to the inexperience of the trio.’

That’s the other intangible, when you come in, particularly when you’re a first round pick, the veterans are kind of looking at you just trying to get a feel for you. He’s done a great job of kind of blending in with his teammates as well.”’

‘Allen has not been practicing with the first or second units, but Daboll doesn’t think that’s a problem at all, “He’s had plenty of reps. He’s working with the threes right now, but he gets enough opportunity to keep on advancing and progressing in the system, continue in terms of scripting of giving him different plays, putting him in different situations. I think with any young guy, that’s what you need to do in terms of building him from ground level.”’
