Through committee work, Kim Pegula earns respect of fellow NFL owners

‘”If every owner in the league was as operationally proficient and knowledgeable as Kim is, I think we would be in a stronger place,” said Jonathan Kraft, president of the New England Patriots and son of Pats owner Robert Kraft.’

Jay Skurski’s Bills Mailbag: Does Shaq Lawson have a future in Buffalo?

‘The other obvious issue is production. Shoulder surgery limited Lawson to just 10 games as a rookie, including one start. He finished with 13 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble. He played in just 11 games in 2017, missing the last four because of an ankle injury that left him on injured reserve. In those 11 games, 10 of which he started, Lawson finished with 33 tackles, four sacks and one forced fumble. The one game Lawson didn’t start came against Kansas City, and the decision appeared to be disciplinary in nature. McDermott said after that game that he was keeping the reason private.’

Josh Allen’s youth coaches dismiss Twitter controversy as contrived

‘”These kids say these things. They should take it out of the rap music. He was young. He said it, my kids say it, and they shouldn’t. But he was a kid.”‘

Good news on Bills WRs? Yes, Kelvin Benjamin is healthy

‘”I feel great to be out there running and just catching the ball, getting in the playbook and seeing what the season’s going to be like,” Benjamin said.’

Bills earn a B-minus

‘Draft grade: B-.’

Benched and humbled, Buffalo Bills guard John Miller went back to his roots to get ready for 2018

‘”It was on me. I kind of let myself down in a way. Unfortunately, with that, I kind of feel like I let the team down as well,” Miller said Thursday. “I lost the job. I own up to that, and I take full responsibility for that.’

Buffalo Bills Top 20 Talents in 2018: No. 17 – K Stephen Hauschka

‘While the Bills did sign a kicker to bring to spring workouts and maybe even training camp, Hauschka is in no danger of being released from the team — barring a complete collapse in the preseason. Even then, he’s likely to be safe based on how well he performed in 2017 — and will be given the benefit of the doubt to get it turned around. He’s as steady a player on the roster as you’ll find, which is why he deserved a spot on this countdown.’

Allen excited to compete against Bills secondary

‘”It was split up where the ones and two got more than the threes, but at the same time, it’s me standing back there getting mental reps and me learning from what AJ and Nate are doing,” Allen admitted. “(While) staying engaged the entire time.”‘

Kelvin Benjamin: “I feel like my old self”

‘“I feel the best, definitely coming off the ACL two years ago – it never really felt the same but they said it takes two to three years for the ACL to really heal and I feel like my old self,” he said Thursday on the final day of Bills’ organized team activities.’

Vets impressed with Tremaine Edmunds plus 5 things you missed on One Bills Live

‘“I would be surprised if he’s not an all-pro player in the next two, three years,” Alexander said Thursday on the show. “I would be surprised, really. Just his athleticism and the way he’s handling the information, I would be really surprised if he’s not that next great linebacker in his era, like that Luke Kuechly-type.”’

John Miller fully committed to regain starting role

‘“Last year was frustrating not only the situation that happened on the field, but I went through some things off the field,” Miller told Buffalobills.com. “I won’t get into depth about that, but it was a learning experience and a humbling experience for me as well because I wanted to be out there with my teammates. But this year I’m starting over, we’re starting fresh. I’m taking it as a new opportunity.”’

Bills Today: Bills QBs work together during open competition

‘“They’re great. They’re two great dudes,” said McCarron. “Nate is a walking angel, and he’s one of the nicest guys you would ever meet. Josh has been awesome to work with, and I’ve been trying to help him in every way I can. But we have a really good room. It’s a fun thing to be a part of.”’
