‘“You know how I feel about Kyle and what he’s meant to our community in Buffalo over the years and what he’s meant to our football team,” said McDermott. “He meant a lot to me this past season in connecting my message to the locker room at different points throughout the year. So the leadership part of that was big for us. These things will work themselves out over time. I think the fit is important and the fit is there, obviously. It’s got to be right obviously for Kyle and his family and our situation as well.”’

‘“Tyrod is on our roster right now and that’s the plan,” said Beane. “We’re just taking it day by day. We’re trying to get better everywhere, so we’re looking at every position including quarterback, but Tyrod did a lot of good things for us. So I’m not really worried about the (roster) bonus. I see him on our roster right now. Unless something changes he’ll be here through that part.”’

‘“All three of those players look like they’re on schedule at this point in time,” said McDermott. “I’m anxious to get those guys going.”’

‘In total, Davis has collided with AFC East opponents 27 times throughout his career. In those games, he’s tallied 77 tackles, 21 passes defended, and six interceptions. He returned one of those INTs for a touchdown, which coincidentally came against the Bills. Thankfully Buffalo won’t be throwing in Davis’ direction in 2018.’
