Those numbers make it easy to see why Taylor got benched by coach Sean McDermott in the first place.’

With a passing game like this, is it any wonder why the Bills offense is terrible?

‘The good teams in this league pass, and they pass well. Their running game complements their passing game, unlike in Buffalo where the only chance the Bills have to move the ball and score points is hope LeSean McCoy has a good day. ‘This puts the Bills in an interesting spot. Taylor was benched prior to the team’s Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers before returning to the lineup for weeks 12 and 13. He had just 65 yards passing against the Patriots on Sunday before leaving with the injury, so this injury may give the Bills an excuse to go back to rookie Nathan Peterman. Peterman threw five interceptions in the first half against the Chargers but looked more composed in mop-up duty against New England.’

‘Rick Dennison deserves his fair share of blame, but Tyrod Taylor did next to nothing in the passing game for Buffalo. Taylor moved the ball well on Buffalo’s opening drive, but the drive ended with an interception. He finished with 65 yards passing on the day. Nathan Peterman didn’t fare much better (6-of-15, 50 yards) after Taylor was carted off with a knee injury. Buffalo desperately needs to address the position in the offseason.’
