Bills coach McDermott encouraged by medical reports on QBs

‘McDermott says Taylor showed signs of making progress over the past few days after practicing on a limited basis last week.’

McDermott’s questionable decision works out for Bills

‘”Field position,” McDermott said when asked about his thought process. “That was big in this game with the conditions the way they were. I felt confident in our defense, (that) if we were able to pin them deep that we would get off the field and get the ball back, which we were able to do.”‘

Quarterback huge question mark for Bills

‘”He’s made progress over the last couple of days,” said McDermott, who also reiterated what he said last week, that Taylor, when healthy, is the starter. “That’ll be a day-to-day thing as we move forward this week; anything more than that would be premature.”‘

‘Once In A Lifetime Conditions’: A Closer Look At CBS’s Terrific Broadcast of Bills-Colts Snow Game

‘The camera operators—John Lawrence, John Lorusso, Mike Mathews, Don Miller, Mike Serio, Dave Swaine, Tony Toste (the handheld) and Bob Wishnie—were the unsung heroes of that telecast. (Most of you understandably missed the broadcast — it only went to four percent of the country.’

McDermott updates status of injured Bills

‘QB Tyrod Taylor, who was inactive with a knee injury: Has “made progress over the last couple of days.” McDermott called him day-to-day as of now. The head coach said “there was a chance” Taylor was going to play Sunday, but wasn’t able to. The decision was mostly health related but the field conditions were a part of the equation, as well. McDermott reiterated that Taylor is the team’s starting QB when healthy.’

McDermott: “I’d rather win than tie, I’d rather tie than lose”

‘”You look at it from all different angles, obviously you want to win first, that’s what you want to do. You certainly don’t want to lose. You want to win and the second best thing you can do in that situation is tie. I’d rather win than tie and I’d rather tie than lose.”‘

Wood: “You don’t really notice the cold as a player”

‘”It was just wild, we were having conversations that we never have during a game like should we try to run the ball through the deep part of the snow so that they can’t adjust well?”‘

Snow globe

‘Yes, it was a weirdly memorable day.’

Players optimistic Tyrod Taylor will be healthy enough to start Vs. Dolphins

‘When asked about his availability for Buffalo’s Week 15 showdown McDermott reiterated the phrase he used plenty a week ago, “when healthy Tyrod is our starter,” he said.’

Shovelers needed at New Era Field starting Tuesday

‘Shovelers can show up at New Era Field starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday and may register to work anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The pay rate is $11 and lunch and dinner breaks in a warming area will be provided.’

Clearing up Bills playoff path, as much as possible

‘The simple good news is a win over Miami this weekend will guarantee playoff survival until the final week of the season.’

11 snow-related numbers Bills fans should know about

‘8: Inches of snow that fell between 12 noon and 4:00 pm during Sunday’s Bills-Colts game.’

Quick Hits: QB health update

‘“Tyrod has made progress over the last couple of days,” said head coach Sean McDermott. “That’ll be a day to day thing as we move forward into this week. Anything more than that right now would be premature. Nate is currently in the concussion protocol.”’

Bills Today: Webb quarterbacks Bills to Week 14 win

‘“It felt good. In this league, you don’t get second chances a lot,” said Webb. “For me to get that second chance was a blessing. The team rallied around it. Great job by the defense getting the offense the ball back.”’

McCoy & Gore thrived in snow on a brutal day

‘“I slip here and there and there were some cuts I missed on but, for the most part, I was running and cutting. I was stopping, where other guys were slipping. Maybe it’s because I know I’m going to get the ball a lot so I just try to play extra good.”’
