ESPN Insider projects Alex Smith as Buffalo Bills’ 2018 starting quarterback

‘If Buffalo moves on from Taylor, Nathan Peterman will be the only true quarterback remaining on the Bills’ roster. Buffalo could add a veteran to vie for the job, add a quarterback in the 2018 draft or do both. ESPN Insider’s Mike Sando recently projected 2018 starters for QB-needy teams and made two projections for the Bills. The first projection saw Buffalo adding Alex Smith while his second projection has the Bills drafting Baker Mayfield.’

Football Friday: Bills – Dolphins injury updates ahead of Sunday’s game

Bills place LT Glenn on IR, QB Taylor to start Sunday

‘McDermott says the Bills have not yet made a move to fill Glenn’s spot on the roster. Rookie Dion Dawkins has been starting at left tackle while has been out.’

Bills QB Taylor starting versus Dolphins

‘Backup quarterback Nathan Peterman remains in the concussion protocol even though he was listed as a full participant in practice Thursday. Peterman left in the third quarter with a concussion and Joe Webb finished the game against the Colts.’

Bills name Tyrod Taylor starting QB for game vs. Dolphins; WR Kelvin Benjamin questionable

‘”[The knee] is good,” Benjamin said on Friday. “Still battling through the soreness and stuff. But that’s football. I’m ready to get out there, play with my teammates and try to pull out the win.”‘

Tyrod Taylor Will Start for Bills vs. Dolphins

‘Sunday’s game is a crucial one for the Bills, who are currently clinging to the final AFC Wild Card spot. Buffalo is 7–6 and holds the No. 6 seed by virtue of tiebreakers over the Chargers and Ravens. A Dolphins (6–7) win would could also improve Miami’s slim playoff hopes, though the Fins would need a lot of help to slip into the postseason.’

Taylor will start at quarterback Sunday for Bills

‘Rookie Nathan Peterman, who started in Taylor’s place last week, remains in the league’s concussion protocol. McDermott has not ruled out the possibility of Peterman being cleared in time to be Taylor’s backup. But if he’s not, Joe Webb will by the team’s backup quarterback Sunday.’

Glenn placed on injured reserve

‘“He couldn’t get back to total health this year overall,” McDermott told reporters prior to Friday’s practice. “We just felt like at this time it was right to move forward getting him totally healthy and ready to go for that offseason program.”’

Buffalo Bills name QB Tyrod Taylor starter vs. Miami Dolphins

‘As for Peterman, the rookie remains in concussion protocol — despite being able to practice throughut the week. There stands a chance that he could be cleared through concussion protocol before the game on Sunday, but if he does not, Joe Webb will be the second-string quarterback for the second week in a row.’

Bills place Cordy Glenn on I-R, season over

‘Cordy Glenn was one of the most successful draft picks in recent memory for the Buffalo Bills, and with the news today, it could mean we have seen the last of the left tackle in uniform with the team. There are a lot of factors working against a potential Glenn return next season.’

Tyrod Taylor to start in Buffalo vs. Miami game Sunday

‘Tyrod Taylor will be the starting quarterback in Sunday’s Bills vs. Dolphins game, coach Sean McDermott announced Friday.’

KC or LA: Bills playoff hopes will swing Saturday night

‘The real answer is we can’t know until after the season, but it seems like a Chiefs win offers a more reasonable path to the postseason.’

Scouting Report – Week 15 – Bills-Dolphins

‘Johnson could be a busy man defending Landry on Sunday. He’s tied for second in the league in receptions (88) and is fourth in receptions on third down (23).’

6 things to watch in the AFC wild card playoff race and Bills-Dolphins this weekend

‘Who to root for: Los Angeles is still the team to root for to enhance Buffalo’s playoff chances. With four straight wins, the Chargers are now 7-6 with a real shot to win the AFC West. That’s the best possible scenario for the Bills—getting L.A. out of the Wild Card race. Buffalo owns the head to head tiebreaker against the Chiefs.’
