Saints crush Bills for seventh straight win

‘Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor was 9 of 18 for 56 yards and an interception before being replaced by Peterman late in the fourth quarter. LeSean McCoy had a 36-yard run on the Bills’ opening drive, but finished with 49 yards on eight carries. Taylor rushed three times for 27 yards.’

‘Taylor’s 56 passing yards and 33.6 passer rating were both the lowest in his 38-game career as Buffalo’s starter. His career-worst outing came despite the Bills debut of wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, acquired in a trade last month, and the return of tight end Charles Clay from a month-long absence because of a knee injury.’

‘The offense was absolutely putrid. I don’t know how they managed to pull this one off, but they got Charles Clay back, added Kelvin Benjamin and got worse! Tyrod Taylor was flat out awful. He played like a quarterback who lived in fear of turning the ball over. It didn’t start out badly thought. The Bills actually moved the ball on their very first drive, going 57-yards in nine plays before settling for a field goal. Who knew that would be the high-point of the afternoon.’

‘This is the first time Sean McDermott and his staff has faced adversity. As I said after the last two wins, McDermott had convinced his team to play above their talent level. The last two weeks, it’s been more of what I expected when the season started, although I didn’t expect them to be as bad as they were against the Saints.’

Well, the Saints had two individual 100-yard rushers in Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara, they would have had 300 total yards on the ground had it not been for kneeling the ball at the end of the game, they had six total rushing touchdowns, and third-string running back Trey Edmunds was two yards shy of having more rushing yards than LeSean McCoy.’
