Top 3 things to know from Day 4 at Bills Camp

'“It’s important that they’re confident about what they’re doing and not in the middle of a play wondering what my assignment is,” Frazier said before Sunday morning’s practice. “We haven’t necessarily dumbed it down, but it’s not going to tax them hopefully mentally to the point where they’re not able to focus and go out and play the way they need to play.”'

Bills Today: Alexander to fill multiple roles

'“We’re going to use him, and put him, like the rest of the players, in positions of strength and one of those is attacking the quarterback coming off the football,” said McDermott. “Once he gets comfortable with the system, the foundation of it, we’ll get a little bit more creative from there. But he is a big part of what we do, from a leadership standpoint, one of the big leaders of the football team.”'

Slimmed-down Shaq Lawson wreaking havoc early in training camp for Bills

'"With respect to Shaq, I think he’s done a phenomenal job," McDermott said. "You wish he had all of last season under his belt. He has the injury there and the challenge, but the way he’s attacked that, the way he’s attacked the offseason and I like what he and Jerry are doing on the opposite sides of each other.'

Bradley Sylve fighting for roster spot after a year away from football

'Saturday morning, Sylve twirls an earing on his left ear into place after Day 3 of Bills training camp, a smile spreading across his face and his injury fully in the rearview. He finally feels 100 percent, wearing pads for the first time since Alabama's 2016 national championship win over Clemson. Sylve likely rests on the bubble for a roster spot in Buffalo's secondary, but he's taken second-team reps early in camp. He marvels in just being here at St. John Fisher College, let alone making the 53-man roster after a year away from football.'

What we learned at Bills camp: Day Three

'"Any time players miss time, you get concerned, whether it's Marcell or anyone else," McDermott said. "I'm going to stay positive with it. He's done a great job of being in shape at this point in camp. Really handled things well. So we'll see how this unfolds.'

What They Said: Bills coach Sean McDermott on Day Three of camp

'It’s been very positive. He’s done a great job. Credit to him and I think Coach [Mike] Waufle and Coach [Bill] Teerlinck have done a great job and Shone [Gipson] and his staff, the training room has done a phenomenal job and Eric [Ciano] in the strength and conditioning area, they’ve done a nice job. Again, I’m going to go back to what I said a few minutes ago with the way [Dareus] came to camp, the shape he was in. We’ll take it from there and stay aggressive with it and we look forward to getting him back on the field.'

Bills, Sabres shakeups drive high-end home sales in Orchard Park, Buffalo

'Four of the largest single-family real estate deals in the last 30 days were generated by Bills and Sabres executives, as the city's two major sports teams continue to drive some of the region's biggest home sales.'

Healed, happy and motivated is a promising combination for Bills' Sammy Watkins

'“Everybody has their opinion,’’ he said. “We play a dangerous game in the NFL. Injuries are going to happen. I had a foot injury. I’m a wide receiver, your feet and your toes get beat up. Things are going to happen, things outside of my control. My job is to stay healthy and go out there and play full speed and have fun.’’'

Bills' Dareus suffers injury, sits out practice

'“He’s done a great job,” said McDermott. “Credit to him and I think (defensive line coach Mike) Waufle and coach (Bill) Teerlinck, they’ve done a great job and Shone (Gipson) and his (training) staff, the training room has done a phenomenal job. With the way he came to camp, the shape he was in. We’ll take it from there and stay aggressive with it and we look forward to getting him back on the field.”'

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott's 'tough love' upbringing serves as guiding f

'“I used to go with my dad to wash windows at a grocery store on Sunday nights when it was closed because they didn’t want anyone to be washing the windows when it was open,” Sean said. “He worked his tail off, and he still works. That’s what I feel like has basically prepared myself for a job like this. It’s an old cliché, I guess, but I wouldn’t be where I am today without my parents.”'

Buffalo Bills' Marcell Dareus sits out Saturday's practice with hamstring injury

'This isn't the first time that Dareus has dealt with a hamstring injury. Dareus appeared on the team's injury report last season with a hamstring injury from Week 5 through Week 8. He missed three games over that span of time.'

Buffalo Bills CB Ronald Darby day-to-day with ankle injury

'The third year cornerback was listed as day-to-day following the Bills' third training camp practice. Darby left the field with a trainer on Saturday with a slight limp as evidenced by video captured by WIVB-TV's Tom Martin.'

Why Buffalo Bills DE Shaq Lawson found it odd Rex Ryan, Doug Whaley drafted him

'"Yeah that was kind of odd," Lawson said. "It really was. I knew I wasn't a fit for that defense. They thought I was. I just tried it out. I wasn't very comfortable. This year I'm just so excited, because this is something I do and been doing. This is what we did at Clemson, same scheme, same everything."'

Buffalo Bills training camp day 3: 17 observations from first padded practice

'The Bills did a lot of work on the running game in their first padded practice, but Tyrod Taylor was an efficient 8-for-10 passing the ball. He had one pass that was close to being intercepted but was otherwise sharp during the 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 portion of practice. The defense was still applying plenty of pressure, though.'

5 observations from Day 3 of Bills training camp, injuries take center stage

'A new-look offensive line appeared during the first day with pads. Jordan Mills and Dion Dawkins split some time at right tackle, while the interior line of John Miller, Eric Wood, and Richie Incognito stayed the same. Cordy Glenn will likely be the left tackle starter, but prior to the first day of camp, McDermott said he would be limited. To this point, he hasn't. With pads, he was. Seantrel Henderson took those reps in his place. During minicamp, Dawkins filled that role.'
