'Harrell played three seasons at Georgia Tech (2012-2014). He recorded 54 total tackles, four tackles for loss and one forced fumble during that span of time. He transferred to Florida for his senior season and served as a reserve linebacker and special teams contributor. Harrell finished with three total tackles.'

'"There's some other guys on the roster," he added. "I've only watched Tyrod from afar. We had a quarterback in Carolina so we weren't in the market a lot to be overly researching these guys. I actually got to meet Tyrod on my tour. Great young man. He's done a lot of good things on tape and look forward to getting to know him and see how he leads this team and it's just going to be an open competition at every position, not just quarterback."'

'Gaine's responsibilities in Houston included supervising pro player evaluations. He previously worked in various scouting and personnel roles with the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets.'

Yates, and then Cardale Jones in the draft a year ago. I'm not sure there is a team out there that has the depth that we do at the quarterback position. So we feel good about that. 'However, to say Taylor isn’t the starter is blasphemous. During his introductory press conference, Beane said “obviously Tyrod’s going to be the starter.” One week later, the Bills are going to hold an open competition for the job.'

'Brian Gaine reportedly interviewed with the Bills for the GM job over the past weeks. Prior to that he has interviewed with the Eagles, Bears, and Jets for GM openings in the past. Gaine has 18 years of personnel experience in the NFL.'

'Obviously I’ve seen Tyrod on film. If we walked out there today I would say Tyrod’s probably the starter. But we haven’t even gone through OTAs. You know we got the young guy (Nathan) Peterman, I thought he did some nice things this weekend at the minicamp. Cardale Jones has huge arm and talent. I don't know anything about him personally. TJ Yates has done some starting in his career, so there are some guys on the roster. I am for open competition.'

'The Bills will hold their ten sessions over the next four weeks before wrapping up with a three-day mandatory minicamp June 13-15. OTAs are voluntary. Players cannot be fined or suspended by the team or league for failing to show up.'
