'Yates probably is more familiar with new Bills offensive coordinator Rick (Rico) Dennison’s system than Taylor. Yates spent his first three NFL seasons learning it, when Dennison served in the same capacity to then-Houston head coach Gary Kubiak.'

'Signing with Buffalo represents a second chance for Seau. He signed with Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted rookie free agent last year but was cut before the start of last season.'

The quarterback played under offensive coordinator Rick Dennison for the first three seasons of his career with the Houston Texans. In 2011, Yates started two playoff games for the Texans with a win over the Bengals before losing to the Ravens in the Divisional round. During his six year NFL career, including playoffs, Yates has started in nine games, passed for 1,877 yards, seven touchdowns, and eleven interceptions.'

'One thing to watch for at in the preseason will be another extended look at Cardale Jones, who saw the majority of work for the Bills under center in the 2016 preseason.'
