We might not have played well, but I think the players gave effort. I think it’s wrong to say our players didn’t give effort, I think they did. This team didn’t lay down.”'

'You read that correctly. Ryan was calling plays the Bills hadn't practiced during the week. While they had called them in previous games, they weren't part of the game plan. It's not wonder the Bills' defense looked helpless at time. Another layer to this defensive meltdown is Ryan saying he was calling the plays. Earlier in the year, he said he handed those duties to defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman.'

'As Rex Ryan has mentioned, the Bills haven't put themselves in a position to be overlooking any team. As bad as the Browns have looked at times this season, it might not be the best idea to provide them any more motivation than they need to break the streak.'
