'Thomas has been asked about switching positions all the way back to high school. Despite playing quarterback in high school, Thomas was considered the No. 1 tight end recruit in the 2009 class. He was recruited to Virginia Tech to be a tight end but ended up switching to quarterback. At 6-feet-6-inches tall and 250 pounds, Thomas certainly has the size for the position. The 24 rushing touchdowns he scored at Virginia Tech show he has the athleticism for it as well. He was also a standout basketball player in high school.'
