'Wood would not be eligible to return to the team during the regular season, meaning his only hope of playing again would be if the Bills somehow got into the playoffs — and hadn't activated anyone else from injured reserve by then. That spot is expected to be filled by wide receiver Sammy Watkins when he's healthy enough to play.'

'The Bills could only watch from home during their bye week as the teams ahead of them in the AFC standings distanced themselves. The biggest concern for Buffalo right now is the AFC West, which has three teams with a very real shot of making the postseason.'

'Obviously the Clemson one was a disaster but with that, I think our team, when you come back, we’re excited about these seven games in front of us. We’ll see Cincinnati tonight and hopefully they have a real physical contest tonight, but I’m excited about our team and I think this should be the healthiest we’ve been in a long time coming back off the bye and (we) should have a lot of energy and passion. I thought we showed it the last time we played Seattle, we played as hard as we could but it wasn’t good enough obviously, but that’s behind us and now we move forward.'

'Taylor's passing stats don't jump off the page, but there are quite a few positives to his game. The quarterback limits his turnovers on the field. Through nine games, Taylor has thrown just three interceptions and only has one fumble lost.'

'"I haven't checked with the docs, I just know what they told me, that these things take a while to heal obviously, but that's Eric for you," Bills coach Rex Ryan said Monday." I mean Eric wants to be out there in the worst way and clearly as a team, we would want that also. But not jeopardizing him, he's got to be ready, but I love his attitude."'

"I'm encouraged right now the way he practiced, especially last week. That was the guy that I remember, a special athlete. Hopefully he can continue that way.
