'The analytics website Pro Football Focus charged the Bills with a whopping 16 missed tackles against the Dolphins, bringing their season total to 57 ­– fourth most in the NFL. Ryan said the team charts missed tackles in its film review of games, and that the issue “certainly wasn’t anywhere close to what it was yesterday.”'

'"He's walking around and he's talking to people," coach Rex Ryan said. "Our medical people are still evaluating his head and neck."'

'"The decision to play LeSean, as I mentioned was, he got clearance from medical personnel. That’s a variety of tests – tons of tests," Ryan said. 'Alright obviously you know I talked about the game after it happened nothing really changed. You know we were still in the game and like I mentioned yesterday even though we were up by 11 points in the second half it never felt like we were in control of the game because we were getting out played, out coached whatever you say it never felt like we were in control of the game. I thought Miami was in control of the game and at the end of the day we need to make more plays on offense, defense and they made more than we did and that is why we won.'

'“Did he target? Did he launch? Yeah, he did all those, check every box you want,’’ Ryan said. “Was it a dirty hit? Yeah. It was unnecessary … and unsportsmanlike. I thought the officials got it right; it was unnecessary roughness. A football play, he came in for a crack block, but there was nothing physical about it. 'More disturbing to Rex Ryan, I’m sure, was the way his defense was pushed around by the Dolphins offensive line. Miami shredded the Bills for 256 yards rushing, much of that with Jay Ajayi running through massive holes. And the Buffalo pass rush was pretty much neutralized as the lone sack came from Lorenzo Alexander.'

'Head coach Rex Ryan told the media on Monday that the medical staff is still evaluating Williams' head and neck and that the team would err on the side of caution when it came to his well being.'

'“You want to win the physical battle each week. And quite honestly, up until this point, we pretty much have,” Buffalo head coach Rex Ryan said. “We got whipped by the Jets, we definitely got out-physicaled Sunday."'

'“A head or neck injury is as severe of an injury as you can get. He’ll never hit the field if he wasn’t cleared by professionals,” Ryan said.'

'"I know the way Jarvis plays, it's going to be aggressive, it's going to be intense," Gase added. "For anybody to kind of start thinking, 'dirty play,' and things like that, I've been around the guys for less than a year. I haven't seen that from him. I've see a guy who when we coach him up on things, tries to do things the right way."'

'"It was a good call, it was a penalty," Christensen said. "We can't go high. The league is emphasizing that." But Gase said it wasn't a dirty play. He also said he likes Landry's edge. "I'm not going to change the way he plays," Gase said. "I call plays early in the game for him to set the tempo."'
