'Since the switch to Anthony Lynn at offensive coordinator after Week Two, Gillislee has rushed 17 times for 116 yards a touchdown. That's good for 6.8 yards per attempt, which would be leading the league if he had enough rushes to qualify. Even without his 44-yard touchdown last week against the 49ers, Gillislee would still be averaging 4.5 yards a pop, well above the league average of 4.1.'

'If Woods can't go Sunday, the Bills receivers in Miami would be Marquise Goodwin, Justin Hunter, Walt Powell and Brandon Tate. Running back Reggie Bush could also be used as a slot receiver.'

'Perhaps not, but the Bills saw what happened to McCoy last season when he pulled a hamstring during training camp at St. John Fisher College. McCoy was never really right the entire season. He missed two games in October because of the hamstring, then missed the final two games with an ankle injury.'

'If McCoy can't play, Mike Gillislee, Jonathan Williams and Reggie Bush will share the running back work. The Bills match up well with the Dolphins regardless of who is in the backfield, but McCoy being out against the Patriots in Week 8 would be a major blow to their chances against New England.'

'"Oh, yeah, I think he's going to play," Ryan said Thursday after practice. "I've seen enough. He looks pretty darn good out there. He's flying around. He looks like the guy that we drafted, the guy that we wanted him to be. We'll see once we get the live games going and all that. '"I'm still day-to-day and just getting treatment to try to get back as fast as I can," Woods said. "I don't want to say too much on it. I just want to get healthy and get back as fast as I can and make it through the rest of the year. It's a big game for us so I'm doing everything possible to play this week."'

'Running back LeSean McCoy didn't finish practice on Wednesday after experiencing tightness in hamstring and missed the Bills' Thursday practice. After practice, Rex Ryan said the team still hopes to have him when the team travels to Miami.'

'Woods, filling in for Sammy Watkins (foot), also has an injured foot and is using a walking boot. Woods said there is not a break in the foot and described it as a day-to-day injury, and he’s hopeful to play Sunday but his status is uncertain.'

'“He has been kind of our bell cow,” Head Coach Adam Gase said. “He has done a great job as far as chasing the ball all over the field. He’s borderline reckless with his body. You talk about a guy that just sells out every play; he’s the poster child for that for us. The good thing last week was we did a better job as far as our run-fit goes. So, he wasn’t saving the day as much last week as what he had to do the previous weeks where there’d probably be some more explosive plays if it wasn’t for him with his pursuit and just straight effort.”'
