'Sensing a great opportunity, Rex Ryan pranked Edelman, said he was 'Walt Patulski of The Buffalo News,' and asked him flat out if he's playing quarterback on Sunday.'

He has previously worked with Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer when he played 12 games for the Chicago Bears in 2014 lining up at every position but center that season. He spent most of the 2015 season with the Detroit Lions where he made seven starts at right tackle.'

'“When we really wanted to make a change and sell out more to a 3-4 defense, it was going to be based on a couple of things: having an outstanding nose tackle, and then having a great pass rusher,” Ryan said. “Jerry’s been great. It’s interesting because as much havoc as he causes, he only got his first sack of the game on a three-man rush. It’s tough sledding, but he found a way to get in there and did a great job.”'

'Vaughn, 6-3 and 306 pounds, signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent following this year's draft. He played in 46 games with 38 starts at Stephen F. Austin.'

'“We’d like to have more production, there’s no doubt about it,” coach Rex Ryan said. “I think it was going to be tough this last week. Obviously, we really didn’t know that we wouldn’t have Sammy Watkins. We didn’t know we wouldn’t have Greg Salas right up until game time. So that was pretty tough. But we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully those guys will be in. We’ll be able to get after it.”'

Maybe for the first time since Doug Flutie was their quarterback can the Bills, in New England, win a game the Patriots also care about.'
