Manny Lawson is a trusted veteran who has superior football intelligence. But he never has been much of a pass-rush option. Manny Lawson has just 24.5 sacks in 143 career games and only 2.5 over the past two years in Buffalo.'

'“It’s ridiculous the amount of injuries we’ve had,” coach Rex Ryan lamented after the Bills were officially eliminated from playoff contention after an ugly loss to Washington in December. “Is that a contributing factor? Of course. And it would be ridiculous if you don’t think it is.”'

'An undrafted free agent out of Georgia, Morgan can steal the job by showing the Bills he’s better than Carpenter (or at least equal to him) and cheaper. He may also save them a roster spot if he can boom his kickoffs, making Gay expendable.'

'That’s if he can stay healthy. Sammy Watkins missed most of Buffalo’s spring workouts after having surgery to repair a broken bone in his foot. Earlier this week, Watkins told reporters in Buffalo that he feels good about his recovery and his chances of being ready for the start of training camp.'
