'Thanks to recent injuries to running back Dion Lewis and wide receiver Julian Edelman, the Patriots are running out of playmakers on offense. They have not scored more than 27 points in either of the last two games, and now they will face a Bills team that scored 32 points against them earlier in the season. The Bills have beaten the Patriots in Foxboro only once in the past 14 tries, but this game might be closer than people expect.'

'The Bills will provide the first real test for a resurgent New England run defense in a month.'

'“Our defense is much better than it was that week,” Ryan said this week, in an appearance on WGR Sportsradio 550. “It couldn’t be worse. From a communication standpoint, everything else- oh my gosh- were we bad. They’re really good, but we really helped them.”'

'“I think it’s going to hurt them a little bit,” said Manny Lawson of the loss of Edelman. “He was a key player to their offense especially a guy as quick and talented he is and catch the ball in the middle amongst linebackers and make guys miss, and in the punt return game. It’s a loss for them, but I’m pretty sure they’re going to have somebody step up in that role.”'
