'A source with knowledge of the situation has informed me that the Bills have had communication with Percy Harvin this week and things are “positive.”'

'Despite missing RB LeSean McCoy and QB Tyrod Taylor for two games each, and RB Karlos Williams for three games, the Bills are still the 11th ranked team in the NFL in both rushing yards per play (4.34) and per game (123.9). Of course the majority of those good numbers came in the first three weeks when they ran for over 152 yards per game, but other than week four against the New York Giants, Greg Roman’s unit has run for at least 112 yards every game.'

'That pressure is undoubtedly weighing on Watkins – and he’s starting to crack. His comments about wanting more targets were largely met with an agreeable nod from Bills fans, but the timing of them was easily called into question considering he was out with the calf injury. To be the type of player everyone wants Watkins to be, he has to be on the field.'

The pressure that comes with being selected No. 4 overall, and the Bills using two first-round draft picks to acquire him, will hang over Watkins until he starts to deliver in a manner that corresponds to his draft spot.'

'Really? It seems as if it would have been much wiser to focus on the many problems the team clearly has in falling to 3-4. The offense is struggling, but not simply because EJ Manuel has been mostly incompetent in place of injured starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor or the other injuries on both sides of the ball. This club needs to play smarter and the entire squad, which has shown an extreme lack of discipline in piling up an NFL-leading 72 penalties, must feel a greater sense of accountability.'

'Buffalo's offense is in shambles, so much so that Ryan has given the team the entire week off from the facility. There are no organized practices or walk-throughs, and the only players on site are the ones who need medical treatment.'

Why not make both of us look good?"'

'The Bills are converting only 33.7% of their 3rd downs. That’s ranked 26th overall in the NFL. It’s actually even a tad lower than last year’s conversion rate, which also ranked 26th at the end of the season. And considering how bad last year’s offense was, that’s obviously a concern.'
