'Ryan provided the update before the team's practice on Wednesday. Ryan said Taylor would practice on a limited basis, with backup EJ Manuel taking a majority of the snaps.'

'Under NFL rules, Williams can return to practice in six weeks, and be eligible to play two weeks later.'

'Buffalo had won 10 straight in this series between 1989-2010 before dropping the past two in 2011 and 2013 by three points apiece.'

'"I think EJ did a tremendous job for us in the preseason," said Ryan. "I know there's a lot of criticism out there that we moved Cassel, but we moved Cassel because of EJ and his development. So we'll see. If he has to play, we're very comfortable and confident that he'll do a great job for us."'

'Running back LeSean McCoy, after sitting out the past two weeks because of a lingering hamstring injury, returned to practice on a limited basis. McCoy's status for Sunday's game remains uncertain.'

'Ryan also gave an update on other injured players, saying RB Karlos Williams is still in concussion protocol and RB LeSean McCoy will start practicing on a limited basis, but not be a full participant as he still recovers from a hamstring injury.'

'Ryan’s comments echo what sources told me late Tuesday night, that no decision has been made yet on Taylor’s status for Sunday and the team will see how he responds to treatment and rehab over the next few days before make a division later in the week.'

'On Wednesday, Manuel took the majority of reps, preparing as though he’s getting the start on Sunday. Only time will tell if Taylor can get back by the weekend.'

'“That’s the plan,” said Taylor. “I’m working hard to get back out there.”'

'On Wednesday starting S Aaron Williams was placed on I-R designated to return, meaning he will not be eligible to play again until mid-December.'

'“I know it’s been widely reported that Tyrod (Taylor) is not playing, that’s news to me,” said Ryan. “That may or may not be the case, but it’s certainly not official. We’ll see how it goes.”'
