'“I don’t know what’s up with him,” Gilmore said. “He acts like nobody’s supposed to hit him and you’re supposed to let him catch the ball. He’s weird. He gets mad when you play physical with him. He’s weird.'

'Let me remind you that the NFL is selective when it comes to intent. Quarterbacks can be called for grounding, which has an intent element attached. A player can be ejected for intent to injure and upon further review, strangely enough, fined and suspended by the league office.'

'McCoy missed Week 4 with a hamstring injury, while Williams is now going through the concussion protocol after suffering a head injury against the Giants in Week 4. That left the Bills with just Boobie Dixon and Cierre Wood on the running back depth chart.'

'As of now, Boobie Dixon and Cierre Wood are the only two healthy running backs on the roster along with fullback Jerome Felton. Starting running back LeSean McCoy is still working his way back from a hamstring injury.'

'“It’s kind of like you’re playing your little brother and he gets mad at you for being too physical with him — throwing a tantrum,” Gilmore said. “I’m like, ‘Man, we’re playing football. It’s a physical game.’ … He’s a prima donna. He feels like he’s on top of the world and nobody’s supposed to do anything to him.”''

'Gilmore later added, "His world is based on hype and that one catch. Everybody sees that, everybody knows him for that and people don't really look at the film and watch him and really don't know what type of player he is."'

'The Bills are scrambling for running backs after they had a glut of them during training camp. Veteran Fred Jackson was cut in August, and then signed with Seattle. Buffalo also released Bryce Brown a week into the season to open a roster spot after defensive tackle Marcell Dareus returned from serving a one-game NFL suspension.'

'Williams is following the NFL's concussion protocol, and must pass a series of tests before being cleared to play. Buffalo (2-2) plays at Tennessee (1-2) on Sunday.'

'With running back LeSean McCoy also injured, the Bills hosted a workout for several players, including former first-round pick Trent Richardson, the 25-year-old bust with the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts and Oakland Raiders. Richardson was cut by the Raiders before the start of the 2015 season.'
