'Who will the starting quarterback be? Rock, paper, scissors? Who knows, it might come down to that school yard activity to decide between EJ Manuel, Matt Cassel, and Tyrod Taylor. Quarterback is always a fascinating position to watch in training camp, but it will reach epic levels this year because the Bills do not have a starting quarterback, and the job is wide open.'

'"I don't know if (his reputation) digs at him," Lal said. "I mean, no one wants to hear negative things about themselves, so I'm sure he's not happy about it. But he knows what's real, and then the people in the know, they also know.'

'Since joining the Bills, Richie Incognito has done everything right. He's been in attendance for every workout — both voluntary and mandatory. He has said all the right things to media and even managed to work himself into the bulk of the first-team reps at guard. While the off-the-field concerns are the main issue with Incognito, there also isn't a guarantee that he can still play at a high level. He's been out of the league for more than a year, so he's going to have to prove himself all over again.'

'Now with Alonso out of the way, Brown is in the clear to resume his role as a starter at linebacker. When in a 4-3 scheme, Brown will be the middle linebacker, and then just an inside backer when in an odd-man front. He'll team up with Nigel Bradham as an up-and-coming duo that will help stabilize Rex Ryan's defense. While Brown may not have as much potential for improvement as Bradham, he's still a solid product in his own right.'

'As it stands, there is no immediate playing time available to Darby at the start of training camp. Stephon Gilmore is the top cornerback, Leodis McKelvin is the other starter, and Nickell Robey has a firm grasp on the nickel corner position. For Darby to begin the season as a regular starter, he'll have to vastly outplay McKelvin through camp and the preseason, or, an injury will have to occur. However, Darby's talents indicate he should get a shot sooner rather than later. And with the way that McKelvin has struggled throughout his career in man-to-man matchups, it would be fair to think Darby could start as early as the second month of the season.'
